    Vangelis - R.I.P.

I am pretty sure that my first exposure to the music of Vangelis was through his stirring score for Chariots of Fire.

Then I got turned onto his work with Jon Anderson from Yes.

And I'll never forget hearing his really early prog stuff with Aphrodite's Child, which a DJ spun before a small club show by The Verve on what I believe was their first U.S. tour.

He was a pretty diverse dude.

Loved his stuff. First fell in love with his music when he did the soundtrack for Cosmos in the 70's and China & Spiral

COSMOS! Of course! Epic series with an epic track. I have them all on disc somewhere. Time to revisit it! Super nostalgia overload...
