The trinity of metal IMO
Sent from my iPhone using TGR ForumsI need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Has anyone mentioned John Hughes' movies from the '80s yet? Vacation, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueller, etc.

I don’t remember much other than how terrified i was the first time I dropped into the big bowl and how gutted I was when some fucker stole my brand new Alva board w tracker trucks and sims wheels while I was deep into a pinball game. I think that was the first year it was open and I was in 7th grade. Before the park opened, we barely had gotten past clay wheels and the first banana boards. There were a miserable few attempts at the actual Baldy pipeline at the dam, the for late 70s Jr high, the park was peak hangout
Def skied Baldy as it was only about 10 miles from my house. On of my college buddies is still on the Baldy FD. But we usually went to Mtn High because it had better snow and the Baldy road was always such a shit show. I do regret not skiing Baldy more tho back then and wish i hadn’t sold my moms house down there now.
Your Aunt would probably have gotten a huge kick out of hearing some random frenchies were obsessed w the park tho

I’m sure it was. I spent a fair amount of time in NYC in mid-80s, a lot of interesting stuff going off there as well
I just think that MTV changed rock music from a focus on new sound to a focus on slick video. Always kinda saw the punk scene as a backlash to that.
It appears to me we can tell how old people are by the enthusiasm of responses to the music of each decade discussed in PR.

Well we played it on that there console in 1980, that was a first for me. Slow adapters you could say but really just blue collar. Also dropped boat loads of quarters at the 7-eleven down the block, back when they used to have arcades, to play centipede, galaga and later, Ms. Pac Man.
