Joust was fun. Remember those running sports games where you spin the big ball or tap side by side buttons to make the characters run?

And then there were the little handleld games with the red dots LOL!!

There is a Doug Dug copycat game app that's better than the original.

Plenty of great shows over in Oakland too (not even including the DotG). Cheap Trick & Pat Travers 12/27/79, Foreigner/Rick Derringer/April Wine 1/11/80, Van Halen 10/9/80
We must have been to a lot of the same concerts. DotG = amazing.

I specifically remember seeing Ted Nugent get hit by an orange someone threw from the crowd and leaving early in a huff. We thought it was hella funny because we hated Ted even back then, and were just there to see the Scorpions on their first USA tour.

Virginia is a tobacco state. We had two outside courtyards off our dining room that you could smoke in if you were over 16.

I grew up about 25 miles from Winston-Salem, doesn’t get much more tobacco than that. We had a smoking area in the parking lot outside the cafeteria until about 89-90.

    Rewatched Top Gun last night
Not as cringe as I was expecting, maybe just too nostalgic to be cynical about it

I forgot Meg Ryan was in it

Esquire had a pretty funny write up recently on the volleyball scene
