I think it's pretty much a slam dunk that the period ~1975 to 1980 had the biggest explosion of great, influential music in pop culture history. Everything from Zep to Sabbath, AC/DC, Skynyrd, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Clash, P-Funk and on and on was out and hitting on all cylinders.

There's been a ton of great music since then, there still is now, but that half-decade or so was just amazing.

Living in Indian-no-place Indiana a buddy of mines sister worked for the local concert promoter and we got a lot of free tickets.

Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Convention center. People kept trying to get on stage for some reason. Road Crew took great delight in beating the fuck out of them and tossing them back in the crowd. Lot of whisky at that show, very little weed.

I had a 69 red/white Ford Torino that looked like a muscle car. What a POS but I thought it was cool.

    fuck yeah!

Around 1980 we had the Hillbillies, Taxi, WKRP, Green Acres, the Stooges, Get Smart and MASH on TV every weekday afternoon. That was a very good time.

I was torn if it was a ‘Bird or Camaro. Sweet ride and love the paint.

Chicks just are icing on the cake.

And, anytime I can say Bitchin’ Camaro it makes me smile, regardless.

Those were DURING the 90s. I was posting retrospectives.. i.e. Happy days was" That 50s Show" which aired during the 70s.. Fresh off the Boat was "That 90s Show" retrospective in the 2010s.. And of course "That 70s Show" from the 90s

Shit you were there too, why don't you do it? The weed sucked but it worked, and it was cool to smoke weed. A little dangerous, a little socially unacceptable, a little rebellious. Those days are gone. Not saying it was better than now but it sure was different.

Oh man, I was raised by a single Mom working multiple jobs in the 70’s. I was a latchkey kid, left to my own devices.

When Mom got home the phonograph came on, my Mom had a meager selection of her favorites. 50 some years later I can still remember the words to Delta Dawn…

There's a good story behind this one. Please elaborate. And you need to write an autobiography. For real. For those who don't know Harry IRL, they could seriously make a movie about the dude's life.

Heh. In some ways the weed was better. So weak you could actually pass a joint around. Now it’s two or three hits.

‘Member weed bricks? Compacted shit you had to flake apart before deseeding?

    Or blonde hash under glass?

Maybe. The beginning of MASH with Blake wasn’t too bad. Potter ruined it.

The movie was the first movie I remember. The only drive in we ever went to as a family. A double feature with Patton. But major houlihans titties were seared into my young brain.

PS. ‘Member car hoods so thick you could lie on them while watching a movie?
