I didn’t realize how much the replacements did in the eighties

Growing up in Minnesota a lot of my friends are big Mats fans.. It was more of an 80s than 90s vibe for me but they peaked late 80s.early 90s so fair game for both decades..

Winona Ryder was at her peak in the 90s.
I still call it The Jake.

That movie was great when it came out and it's still great.
Despite the pulp fiction cheese to it, it was actually a decent storyline with great performances from Kevin Bacon, Matt Dillon and Neve Campbell (oh and her scenes with Denise Richards weren't too bad).
But the best person in the entire movie, by far, was Bill Murray. Completely stole the show.I still call it The Jake.

You mean “Californication and beyond is awful” right?

Anyone talk about quality night light tv? Letterman and Daily Show with Jon Stewart are what I miss the most. Looking back it's a shame nothing seems to come close to those shows that, looking back, were just hitting it out of the park, nightly. Really took that for granted.

Weezer...worst band I've ever seen live, absolute dog shit. Sold my blue cd back to Twist and Shout.
Loved RHCP in my SoCal days, saw them play at Del Mar fairgrounds late 80's, super fun and funky. Some good old fashioned nasty lyrics and riffs on BSSM but if I hear under the bridge one more time I'm gonna puke, just like any song from Nirvana. Not having it. For me, Soundgarden >>>>>>>>>> Nirvana.

So many of the alternapop hits from the 90s have become unavoidable “golden oldies” schlock that never went away, I’m not going to say Californication is bad or good but at the store the other day I heard “scar tissue” and noticed it is older than the clerk and never disappeared anytime between release and now
