That Sunny Day announcement has me all kinds of giddy. Hitting up Riot Fest just for them.

A quick glance at the concert listings in town tell me the 90s are back indeed:
Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Braves' stadium, Smashing Pumpkins with Janes Addiction at the Hawks Arena, DMB, Black Crowes, NKOTB, Barenaked Ladies, Kid Rock, Arrested Development, KRS-One and Slick Rick, GZA (just played Tuesday and pissed I missed that one), Sheryl Crow, Third Eye Blind, Incubus, Rob Zombie, Sublime with Rome, WP...I still call it The Jake.

Saw them a couple years ago at the Neptune in Seattle, great show. Popper had lost a lot of weight. Almost thin.

I always thought Sunny Day Real Estate was one of those bands you claimed to like to impress a girl. Kind of like a worse version of Dashboard Confessional.

Isn't one of the primary reasons for life itself to impress someone enough to want to have sex with you? Not all birds like the same music.
Didn't straight men's infatuation with anal sex happen in the 90s also? Never quite understood how that happened. Some kind of rebellion against feminism or something. Or just xxx porn addictions.

Saw them quite a few times at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC. Popper had just gotten into a motorcycle accident. Also in that same area he sat in with Phish. He was in a wheelchair covered by a blanket hiding until the time to jump in and jam. No one had a clue. Was a great gag.

No mention of Marylyn Manson? Kinda sucks when some of these folks turn to REALLY be as nuts as their entertainment personas..

I really liked 90s DJ Kid Rock.. Can't stand 00s Redneck Kid Rock..Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
