    vanilla Black Crows Camox as a backcountry ski?

    I'm on the verge of retiring my only ski: Dynastar Mythics, mounted with Plum R170 bindings. Skiing exclusively backcountry in the Rockies

    I want more downhill performance and I like not caring about conditions. I most often do ski mountaineering lines in breakable quicksand, refrozen, wind buff turning to powder etc.

    Does the Camox ski significantly better than the Freebird? Does the Freebird significantly outperform the Mythics? I'd describe my current skis as "twitchy" which I imagine all 1500g skis to be
