Using teams' records as the metric is some 1980's pre-analytics shit. I bet you judge baseball pitchers on their win loss record too? https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/ran...ength-by-other

Both SF and Philly had easy schedules.

If the Eagles played a harder schedule, they’d still win 11+ games.

They have elite talent at high priority positions, which is critical for January appearances !

OK then why do we use win loss records to determine playoff seating and rankings?? Perhaps we shouldn't determine the SuperBowl winner based on the final score and instead some moneyball bullshit..

I don’t understand that metric and the About section is thin. What is that metric based on?

You're right, let's do away with win losses records and final scores.. Let's just walk that all back and use the power ranking cocktail of metrics and see who SHOULD HAVE WON instead of who actually won amirite??

I honestly don't care who wins today in either game but it was fun wearing a Kaepernick jersey to the grocery store this morning. Some comments were from 9rs fans, some were from folks who "get it".

I'm just happy TahoeJ found another sports thread to be a dick in. He's been awfully quiet in the NBA thread.

You said the NFC West is like the Pac 12 and the NFC East is like the SEC. That's just stupid - no need to really explain further.

I'm being a dick for calling out Jong's repeated shitty / absurd takes? So be it then. NBA is middle of the season... kind of chugging along, what do you want?

    49ers Moneyline
    Joe Mixon 40+ Rushing Yards
    Joe Burrow 200+ Passing Yards
    Joe Burrow 2+ Passing TDs
    Brandon Aiyuk Anytime TD

My gut says Eagles by 14, Bengals by 10 today.. I could be just as happy watching Chiefs and 9'rs in the super bowl though..

Why did SF not burn a first half TO challenging that catch? Big blunder.

    2022/23 NFL Thread

This game is weird and a mess and not in a good way. As a casual fan it’s been pretty sporadic

Most of these calls have looked legit to me, other than the missed incomplete early and the missed punt to the wire call
