It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

LOL last place NFC least team has a better record than 15 other teams in the NFL. Lots of money out there being paid for mediocrity.

I really hope all the snow predictions come true in Buffalo this weekend and they don’t pull some kind of pansy shit and move the Browns bills game to some bullshit indoor arena like Detroit.

Let the two Lake Erie teams play in their natural environment!

    2022/23 NFL Thread

This is a monster storm, even for Buffalo.

With days of travel bans possible, I’m not optimistic.

    Nope.

If we can find (generally) where the Upstates is, we can find a way to this football game.

I seem to recall Buffalo getting several feet of snow in just a few days maybe 8-9 years ago and they had to cancel / move the game. How does this stack up to that storm?

    November 2014.

70" in ~72 hours for Orchard Park, home of Buffalo Bills. Highest report was 88", a few miles from my in laws home. At one point, they received 33" in 12 hours.

This is a 4-5 day event with the moisture, warm lake and winds you expect for monster totals. It all depends where the lake effect bands set up, as they are narrow with sharp gradients, but the hype is real.

It would be so lame to move the game somewhere else. I wanna see Josh Allen stiff arming some defender waist deep In thundersnow!

Streaming CLE sports talk this morning and they’re saying the NYS Patrol is expected to close I-90 from the PA border to Rochester tonight.

If they do, then how do the Bills’ trucks get out, much less the Browns’ trucks get in?

And if they do move the game the two possible moves are (1) in CLE (where it’s snowing already), and (2) in Detroit. If they move it to Detroit I guess the NFL makes the tickets free. I’m positive there’s no shortage of Browns fans willing to drive to the other end of the lake for free tickets. Either way, it’s a Browns home game.

Fuck all that though, I wanna see Allen and Chubb ride the lightning in the thundersnow on Sunday.

It's a shame it's not later in the season when they can snowmobile across the lake to Detroit.

    It really is.

One surefire way to know spring has arrived is when you see on the news that 40 ice fishermen, their huts, trucks and snowmobiles have broken off on an ice floe and are headed for Canada.

    Lake effect is king:

State of emergency in place. Who is showing up to shovel the stadium? LOL

Flight is cancelled, bummed I don't get to see the carnage in person.

Just heard some Browns Backers call into a show that they drove their RV up from somewhere south to Orchard Park for the game and arrived yesterday.

Hope they enjoy their Thanksgiving in Buffalo.

But is Jim Cantore there yet? If not, I'm calling bullshit on this storm!
