There has been a huge amount of flux in life over the last decade, and especially accelerating in the past 2 years. From the mod panel, looking at trying to manage the chaos that spills into tgr, I find it virtually impossible to handle it well when the concept of well is inevitably tied to how it functioned in a different time, with different people (even, importantly, the same people in a different phase of life). We’re trying (and make no mistake, we’re really trying) to deal with competing values: keeping it a place of stoke and camaraderie but also moderating very little. Trying to keep virologists and clinicians from giving up and leaving in frustration but also letting others say the dissenting disrespectful shit they feel.

It’s an impossible ask, and we fail a lot, and Danno takes the shrapnel for the entire group and our entire function. But whatever you all imagine, Danno is pretty consistently level-headed behind the scenes, tempering what are often unreasonable ideas from less reasonable people like me, and he’s been one of the few mods who is out here posting (as opposed to mods who mainly lurk and function silently) so he takes all this undeserved heat…sometimes, amazingly, for mod actions he himself opposed behind the scenes. It’s not fair, and if any of you who trust me, who know me from irl, are seeing this…I have to say, if you really knew, you’d be surprised…and you’d probably never shit on Danno. Believe me, really…if you really knew, you wouldn’t.

One of my great difficulties as a huero in Taos was being respectful with all the husky latin women. I deserve the call out for sure. I'm a lurker at heart with just enough old friends still on here that its worth hanging around. Plus it's just a lot of morons getting in stupid back and forth arguments here lately, so I have been popping in for good data on Ukraine and questions about the used Lexus LX we purchased. Trying to stay out of the dumb arguments so I just keep quiet and roll my eyes a lot...
Maybe I'll do a full TR on that trip from last week. It was an all-timer. 13 miles of skinning/skiing and just under 6k of climbing.
