American death in Iceland avi
Anyone know of these guys? Someone around here must know something.....not much info released in Iceland
There was a nasty ice layer to summit under new snow during the time of the incident, conditions were touchy.
Curious to learn more....thoughts are with theses dudes and family

One of the injured was a friend of a friend in Jackson. Sounds like he's got a real long road to recovery.

Yes. Kind of an adjacent crew to mine. All friends of friends. All very passionate skiers.
Avalanche hit them from above (climbing couloir). Friend got on a plane to rendezvous with surviving two as soon as he found out - knew it was bad when he said one of the survivors was in pretty bad shape but "should make it."
Will probably find out more soon. Did not know the deceased well, but got out with him a couple times, and remember a lot of laughs on those outings.

Jeez. My friend just got back. He said there was a lot of firm icy slopes with heavy wind loading on certain aspects. They walked down from a few lines, but overall had a great trip and scored nice pow lines.
Sad news. RIP
