    Right? Come on Riser.

I can find pleasure in driving the shittiest of shitboxes as long as the window rolls down and I got open road ahead of me.

Put me into anything remotely decent and that pleasure factor rises exponentially.

No doubt. Pop the hood and take it all in.

Mixed feelings on Tesla but looking forward to at least riding in one. (And the new GT3 for that matter.)

Worth mentioning just as there are fun and not so fun ICE cars, there are also fun and not so fun electric cars. The consensus among dyed in the wool car review types is Teslas are novel and interesting but not fun to drive. Whereas something like a Porsche Taycan is as fun as its gas powered stablemates with many saying they much prefer it over the Panamera, Cayenne, Macan, and maybe on par with a 911.

A fun quick read but only topically related if you squint: A few things to know before stealing my 914

Hey don’t lump all of us accountants in with him!

I may drive a few Toyota’s but they are of the V8 variety.

Mrs. Plug is like riser4, she finds no pleasure in driving. And she drives (or has driven), our assorted MT BMWs, Audis, etc.
    whatever

    Fun read, thanks.

And yes, from what I have gathered from those with Taycans and Audi etron GTs is that they are infinitely more fun to drive than a Tesla of any stripe.

The real problem with Tesla is they're beta testing on the public like a video game publisher. Except unlike a video game publisher, people have died iirc.

Also, what happens to range when you add a roof rack to EV's?
    No longer stuck.

I like trains. I don't live where I can use them in any meaningful way. We are the terminus for the Amtrak Vermonter line. It doesn't help me in any way

I always pitied the people in expensive sports cars stuck in traffic. Little that makes a car fun to drive makes traffic suck less. The right road can be fun even in a shitbox

tesla are like tailfins - symbolic of the future, but not the future, and firmly rooted in traditional language
