That is one of the more impressive lists here Ski220!

Purgatory...my wife, stepson, and daughter have skied it several while I have skied Silverton. On my wish list. Could have gone this year, but we did a different combo tour.

Angel Fire...my sister once was married to a guy with a house slopeside on that mountain. I never visited. My dad went over a skied a day this year, but no way I was going to give up lift served Kachina goodness for that place. Oh to be retired.

Irwin Lodge? Isn't that CB guided/cat? Do cat operations count?

One place I haven't seen on many lists, if any, is White Pine in Pinedale. Right at the top of my wish list.

^^ You didn’t miss much at Angel Fire. Unless you like LONG rides on nearly horizontal chair lifts.

    Thanks UM.
Retired life is good. Mostly. Going through ski withdrawal now.
Yes, Irwin Lodge was cat skiing. An up hill lift. Just not on a cable.
Did not include the one (and only) heli day at Whistler.
    Or self propelled.
    EuroBBI'23 !
And I really would like to visit a few of the smaller areas out west - ie Red Lodge.

I listed it as Pine Creek, pretty sure that was the name when I skied it in the 90's, last single seat chairlift in the west back then, brother lived in Pinedale.

Well, I am not surprised that my list is minuscule compared to others. If I have to miss skiing for a day, just to travel somewhere to ski, it just doesn't make sense to me, so I stay home and spin laps.

Coming up with a firm number has run into the same type of minutia as others have noted. I skied Moonlight before Big Sky bought it; I am old enough that I skied Multorpor Mountain when it was separate from Ski Bowl.

I rode the tram at Jackson the last summer it was open, climbed up Cody Peak, and skied the Four Shadows couloir, does that count as skiing Jackson?

As a kid we used to ski down the Glade Trail from Timberline to Government Camp, at the end of the day, where our folks would pick us up. The Glade Trail ended at the top end of what was called Summit Ski Area (which is now Timberline Summit Pass), so we would ski the entire length of Summit without ever using their lift. Summit had only the one run, with a rope tow (which hilariously was replaced by a chair), so I skied it all, but that doesn't count I guess?

Paltry though it is, here's my list

    CA: Squaw Valley USA

OR: Willamette Pass; Mount Bachelor; Timberline; Mount Hood Meadows; Ski Bowl (Multorpor too before they combined)

    WA: White Pass; Mission Ridge

    ID: Schweitzer; Bogus Basin

MT: Snowbowl; Lost Trail; Marshall Mountain; Bridger Bowl; Big Sky (and Moonlight Basin before they were bought).

If it was separate when you skied it, it counts

You had me looking up these two. I've seen ski movies / travel vids about backcountry tours to Iceland but overall, is there much of a ski culture there?

But Aspen/etc are totally separate mountains owned by the same company and in the same general area; they cannot be skied together in the same day (without leaving one and taking transport to another). Independent base areas, parking lots, and slopes. Whereas something like Winter Park/Mary Jane have two separate base areas, but can be skied easily as part of one ski day, and often are. It's probably a fine line for some places, like (I imagine) AltaBird, which have distinct identities but can be skied together, and perhaps Whistler/Blackcomb.
Whistler and Blackcomb were separate areas.

Yes, there is. If I had more time, I would have skied some of the other resorts there.
A few things that are different about skiing in Iceland include practically no tree skiing at all, the availability of hourly lift tickets, and runs that are lit with night skiing lights during the day due to visibility issues at times. (They also have poles or cones on some of the runs in order to find your way down.)
I also thoroughly enjoyed the amazing experience of hell skiing with Arctic Heli Skiing, Iceland. I highly recommend skiing there. It is at the top of my to-do again list.

An asterisk * is on the resorts I hiked up, but didn't ride a lift.

My to-do list is even longer, so I hope to go over 200 resorts as soon as reasonably possible.
I don't see Bear Paw Ski Bowl on there.

Worth including link to your TR, Vets. Iceland is awesome.

I haven't been to Bearpaw and is on my to do list, if out that way I highly recommend checking out Teton Pass.

Heh, good luck. This year was the first year it has been open in a few years due to not enough snow (check out their FB). My wife and I skied there a couple times back in 1999 when we lived in northern Montana. The volunteer hill manager was the postmaster in our little town where my wife was teaching.

I'm currently at 169 and hope to reach 200 before I get old.

Easy if you have an endless season.

Fellow Hokie grad here... Bit later than you in 2011 though.
Grew up in SWVA and now live in the DC metro area. Was not expecting this much mid-atlantic participation in this thread lol

    Anyways, my list:
    VA: Bryce, Wintergreen, Massanutten, Homestead
WV: Snowshoe (my "home" mountain), Winterplace, Timberline
    NC: Sugar, Beech, Hawksnest (RIP)
VT: Killington, Smuggs, Jay, Sugarbush/Ellen, Bolton, Magic
    QC: Tremblant
    ME: Sunday River, Black Mountain
CO: Copper, Winter Park, Steamboat, A Basin, Loveland, Eldora
    UT: Alta, Snowbird, Brighton
    France: Chamonix, Tignes

Think that puts me around 30. Still A LOT of places on the bucket list of course. Never skied outside of VA/WV until college, and have made it a point to try to get somewhere new every year since.
