SOLD: Westcomb Mirage Shell, eVent, red, XL, used

    SOLD

Jumped on this Westcomb Mirage eVent jacket to give as a gift, but the shell has some kind of tiny bumps on much of the red fabric (but not much rash on the burgundy panels) so it might be weird to give as a gift. That explains the smoking deal. Maybe the seller washed it and put it in the dryer to reactivate the DWR, and had the dryer too hot? That's the only thing I can think of. It appears to be in good condition other than the little bumps, which are kind of like orange skin and are hard to see in the photos: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/i~IAA...0H/s-l1600.jpg

Anyhow, I'm guessing it's still perfectly functional as a ski jacket - and includes powder skirt! The design is a bit unusual in that the zipper is centered at the bottom, then curves to a bit to the wearer's right side and becomes asymmetrical as shown below.

Here's the original listing for photos and description.

SOLD - I have $62 in it with tax, and can pass it along for same plus $9 postage to lower 48.

Pit zips. The burgundy fabric doesn't have bumps for some reason.

Made in Canada. Loop in hood that looks "unsealed" is actually to cover the adjustment cord, and wasn't originally glued down.

Worst of the bumps, upper sleeve. Maybe the blisters are where the exterior fabric delaminated from the eVent . The eVent probably still works fine though, and the inner layer looks fine. The close up photo makes the bumps look a lot worse than they are, and it's probably just delamination between the outer layer and the eVent layer, which doesn't really change functionality.

It is, not sure what model it is, don't see photos of it in Google Images.

That Skeena I bought from you has found a new home: https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...d-eVent-Merino

I guess folks don't know what great stuff Westcomb makes. I've got two shells, hybrid touring pants and a merino hoody from them and they're all exceptional pieces. Love the eVent for touring.

^ For sure, Westcomb stuff is awesome, eVent and made in Canada instead of West Asia. Given Westcomb is out of business, I'm shocked no one has jumped on this shell.

    PM'd about the Large Revenant.
