Luckily for the Dodgers, they will only face him if the Padres are leading in the ninth. They may never see him.

Speaking of the Dodgers, they just cleared a space on the 40 man…..

Soto to the Dodgers has been trending on my Twitter this afternoon, but it might just be wishful thinking.

Vasquez to the Astros. Found out during BP and just walked across the field to his new team. That has to be a wild emotional roller coaster

Can't say I'm down with the Sox being sellers, but what did they get?

Also can't say I'm down with the way the Vasquez thing came down, that's pretty wack if you ask me. Pull him aside before he walks out there or wait until after the game, yeesh. Just saw it.

    Couple of prospects.

They got a new catcher from the White Sox, and apparently have made a deal for Tommy Pham

Not really sellers as Vasquez was leaving or asking for more $ at the end of the year and Kevin Plawecki can fill in at least till end of year. They got 2 good prospects Wilyer Abreu who the Astrros rated highly and Enmanuel Valdez who has power but needs work

This trade is all about a 2022 ring for the astros as this is a huge upgrade for them

Nice that the Rays and Sox are going out of their way to help the Trashtros.

SO I dont know much about the Orioles, except they seemed to finally be kinda good this year?!? and now they are trading all those players away including some who seem emotional about leaving and that kinda sucks

    OFFICIAL MLB 2022 THREAD

I don’t follow them closely, but the Sox journalists have said they think the Orioles are a couple years away from being back, so maybe Mancini, et al, aren’t part of the three year plan?

Feels weird to not at least try a little this year, though, being in the hunt. Bird in the hand and all.

That's the flip side of it, all right. Doesn't even want to go out on the street, that's pretty rough.

I bet they figure it out. Either a third team or a bag of cash.

The Dodgers are too good and the Padres are too far back to catch them in the division, but they are going to be scary as hell in the playoffs. We could be looking at a pretty fun first round of Braves vs. SD.

Sounds like they have a different version of the deal without Hosmer in it, so it won't matter. Soto has been informed by the Nats according to ESPN

    OFFICIAL MLB 2022 THREAD

Man a lot has happened. I don’t remember trade deadline being this exciting recently.

    Soto to Padres done

Hosmer to Red Sox. Didn’t see that coming.

    Syndergaard to the Phillies.

Whit Merrifield to the Blue Jays. I guess he has to get vaxxed now? He was on of the like 85 Royals who missed that trip I think.

Basically just reposting Jeff Passan Twitter here, lol.

When I woke up this morning wondering what Friedman had up his sleeve, I did not think Joey Gallo was going to be the answer.

    Joey Gallo, great guy.

I guess a few more deals could be announced over the next day if they're pending physicals or whatever and submitted to mlb.

Wildest deadline I can remember, when does a guy like Soto get moved?

If he gets hot he could carry you for a whole series in the playoffs. If not, La has plenty of bats

Probably not a game changer, but a very low risk deal at least. Moving Mitch White is a little strange though. He’d been pitching well this year. I’m guessing they just needed space on the 40 man with all the dudes coming off the IL this month. Overall I think the Dodgers are still the best team in the National League but it definitely has become a tighter race. Gonna be a fun 3 months.

Uh... wasn't it just last year that we were relevant? As in won the division relevant? As in a record 107 win season relevant? Don't sleep on Farhan. We will be in mix in the nest few years.

I'm just glad you Dodger fans finally realize there's a rivalry. Bout time!

Interesting to look at what is spent or not.

EX: Dodgers 264 Million VS Brewers 131 Million yet both are in 1st place.

Or Mets 264 Million VS Braves at 188 million.

Or the As at 45 Million.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

So weird seeing Vasquez in an Astro uniform.

Also, missed Raffy in the lineup.

They have a chance. Let's go Sox

    Definitely weird with Vasquez.

Funny they never talk about Kike, it's like he doesn't exist. He's coming back, right? I know he had a setback but he was on his way back at the time I thought.
