I’ll blame this one on the offense, but I’m not really a fan of Kimbrel closing games. It’s time to try someone else there.

    Well, went south side tonight.

Before the game I had the morning to get my tourist on.

La Sorda should just get ejected from the dugout cause it takes too long for him to shuffle to the plate. The ump must have been asking himself if it was elder abuse to chuck him.

Saw a triple play! (not pictured)

And had a Joe Kelly sighting. He gave up four runs in the tenth and that was that.

On a slightly more serious note, I was in Texas right after Uvalde, and here in Chicago today made the second moment of silence I’ve been a part of in six weeks. Pretty messed up.

    Happy Merica Day

Not awful but a one and done for me.

Unfortunately it followed me to my hotel room. This is what passes for modern here? Not sure.

    Why is Ohio?

Nice night for a game though. Really wish Votto was on a better team.

An ATL homer confirms its like 2/3rds Braves fans
A Skyline Chili 4 Way (spaghetti/chili/onions/cheese) and Coney all the way (onions/chili/mustard) is top of the mountain. Well done. Add Skyline hot sauce liberally for that next day feeling.

Looks like maybe y’all were at 21c ArtHotel? Their modern art collection (across their 3 locations) is pretty world renowned (read: Walton Family $$$)

    Such a bizarre situation.

There are quite a few of those in the crowd here tonight, actually.

The score may be my fault. I’m staying at the MGM Grand near the stadium and put $5 on the Guards at the sportsbook.

Gold Star is imitation garbage. Skyline or GTFO.

    Waffle House is for ATL.

On a serious note, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the 75th anniversary of Hall of Famer, Cleveland World Series Champion, and incredible human, Larry Doby breaking into the bigs, a mere 3 months behind Jackie, and the first in the AL.

Some fantastic moments at the Jake with Larry Jr. and family in attendance on Sunday.

This piece I read was worth your while.

Jays almost got swept by the A's. Pitching has sort of fallen apart. Bats aren't doing much either.

    MLBTV blackout rant here.

Between ESPN, Fox, FS1, Peacock, AppleTV and YoutubeTV its a wonder any bothers with MLBTV.

This will be my last year sending them money so they can turn around and sell those games to the Streamers and then black me out.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Also, Mookie is back, xBHs, HRS, walk off RBIs..., flashing the leather in RF. Good to see him back being Mookie.

Speaking of which, I heard that triple play you saw this week was the first ever 8-4 triple play in the history of MLB.

    That’s pretty cool.

Yeah. In the moment I thought it was 8-6, but ended up being 8-5 which was a first.

Very cool in real life even though it cost the White Sox the game probably.

Not sure where that came from. Ortiz never failed a test, unlike your buddy A Rod.
