You just can't make a mistake to Kyle Schwarber.

None of it is going to matter if the Phils can’t get a hit off this bullpen.

    The pickle was fun, though.

No way. The next Rivera is the best closer in baseball, Emmanuel Clase, All Star and led the league in saves this year.

    And he plays for Cleveland.

Have you seen his 100mph cutter? It’s the closest thing to a dominant pitch I’ve seen since Andrew Miller and Rivera.

Catch the all star game? He used 10 whole pitches to fan the side, including Buck’s lover Schwarber.

Clase won reliever of the month more times than any other reliever the past two seasons, no Astro won once.

Well, Judge, Xander, Trea Turner and Dansby Swanson are all free agents as of yesterday. Could get exciting.

Mets do the right thing and lock up Diaz

Dansby is about to get PAID.

No way the Bravos let the hometown guy walk especially after the whole Freddie debacle.

"The Hall of Fame released its eight-player Contemporary Baseball Era ballot Monday, and it includes some familiar -- and controversial -- names: Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Curt Schilling. Other players to be considered for the class of 2023 include Albert Belle, Don Mattingly, Fred McGriff, Dale Murphy and Rafael Palmeiro. Notably absent from the ballot: Sammy Sosa."

Trea Turner made a sizzle reel narrated by Jon Hamm that he sent around to teams, and it’s awesome.

I kept waiting for the wink, but they played it straight all the way through. Ah well, I guess if you're that good you can be that cocky. Plus, big, big bucks at stake. And life in general is an Onion piece these days.

BTW, Jon Hamm is certainly cashing in on the commercials lately. Guess like an athlete gotta get it while you can.

Helps to remember that this is targeted at 25-30 70-something billionaires who are going to decide to pay him many hundreds of millions of dollars. That EXACTLY the type of person who would get excited about this.

Sorry I just got over puking and shitting myself over the Asterisks winning another series, but the Jon Hamm cut made me feel a little better. If Judge and Trea are on the Yankees and they can cut bait with Donaldson, IKF, and Stanton, they should be good enough to compete for the East again.

    Yes, absolutely.
They’d definitely be able to lose in the ALDS with that lineup
