    Did someone mention Babe Ruth?!

Really didn't expect to see this yesterday riding along on the Toronto Islands. Apparently he hit his first home run as a pro here, against the Maple Leafs. His team the Providence Grays destroyed the Leafs 9-0. Seems oddly fitting lol.

Thalea, big weekend series coming up!

And of course we are down one (just fucking one) of our best relievers in Karinchek cause he’s not vaxxed.

Also, the Danno-EWG exchange is part of why baseball is great. You can sit down, have some beers, and argue for days on end about pretty much anything.

Yeah this is going to be really fun to watch this series unfold. Just wish we had our early season version of the Jays facing them lol. Our pitching is in a near crisis situation and Springer is still out. Anyways definitely looking forward to it!

It's a TGR specialty. Baseball is just the flavor de jour.

Oh sure, hit me with the old "there's a team other than the Yankees in NYC?"

    It works.

Tatis suspended for 80 games for PEDs, sheesh.

Exactly right. My grandfather taught me to score a baseball game when I was super, super young. Then he talk me how to argue over baseball stats about 3 hours later.

    Cheers Danno. Good stuff.

Woah, 14 hits and an 8-0 shutout by the Guards. Did not see that coming.

Wow. That’s ridiculous in this day and age and especially for someone of his stature.

The Pads sure do get a real bad ROI it seems on everything they do.

It would be kind of sad if their fanbase wasn’t so annoying.

DeGrom incredible again going 6 scoreless innings and giving up 2 singles and fanning 10. He retired 16 straight after allowing a 1 out single in the first. Amazing that he hadn't pitched in a year and came back and didn't miss a beat.

On the Stankee front IKF has driven all 3 runs to put them up 3-2 in the 9th, but they are in danger of blowing that lead right now.

Tatis is an idiot for the PEDs but that still isn't as idiotic as riding a motorcycle on dominican roads.

    OFFICIAL MLB 2022 THREAD

DeGrom is just fucking nasty. Dodgers may have all that hitting, but how do they get past him and Scherzer in a series?

Bassitt and the pen shut out the Philthies again, so the Mets allowed a total of 2 runs in 3 games against a red hot team.

On another note, a friend posted a pic on social media with him in front of Lou Gehrig's locker with the caption "My favorite player" Riddle me this. How in the fuq can a player that you never saw play and dies 20 years before you were born be your favorite player??
