OFFICIAL MLB 2022 THREAD
Fuck…injury bug starting to bite. Chad Green, Chapman and Loisaga out. Green going to have Tommy John, so he’s done for the year. Stanton on 10 day.

Soto rumors flying, people are talking about the Dodgers but they're pretty stacked, are they really going to make a huge trade and sign him to a 500M deal? That sounds more like an Angels thing.

Boras, jackass that he is, kiboshed Soto trades yesterday but has no power to stop one.
Dodgers need an everyday left fielder. As much as I love Lux and Taylor they are utility guys out there and make stupid plays.
Maybe it's having Gold Glovers like Belli n and Mookie out there, but it annoys me.
And I miss Joc.
Doubt even they go huge $ deal but ya never know

I can’t imagine what the haul would have to be to get the Nats to bite. After this season, he is still under team control for 2 more years. It’d probably have to be something along the lines of Lux, Cartaya, Busch, Pepiot, and a few mid level guys or draft picks. I don’t see Friedman wanting to give up as many assets as they’d have to to get that trade done.

the LBC Angels?
Hellllz Yeah
The office of the Long Beach city manager issued a statement on Wednesday that the city is ready to restart conversations about building a stadium to house the Angels in the port city just south of Los Angeles. Per the city, Long Beach initially engaged in discussions with the Angels in 2019 about a waterfront stadium and entertainment complex on a 55-acre site.
“In February 2019, Long Beach began preliminary discussions on the potential for a waterfront stadium in Long Beach," the statement reads. "Those initial discussions came to a conclusion in December 2019 when the Angels chose to enter exclusive negotiations with the City of Anaheim. ...
"If the Angels are interested in continuing those initial discussions, Long Beach would reengage in those discussions and seek direction from the City Council."

so when the As try to hold the city hostage for a new ballpark, where do they move?
Vegas? Nashville? Austin? Portland?
Montreal?
Also, Freddie Freeman good at baseball: four for five with five RBIs one HR.
& he has Mookie in front of him, oh Lahd. He went three for five with a walk and three runs scored.

I would love the As to move to Portland, or Vegas. I had heard how shitty the Coliseum was, but oh man, seeing it in person for the first time in ten years was way worse than I had imagined. They had a maintenance guy out in the third inning zip tying seats together. Not that there were any fans there to sit in the seats…

Sox game is only on Apple TV tonight, and these two women announcing the game will not shut up. Unwatchable. Unlistenable, at least.

Definition of a lead off hitter...
Mookie Betts has scored 48 runs this year. The next closest Major Leaguer has 37.

Two 8 inning shut downs of the Rays by Yankee starters. Give that bullpen some rest
