Sox up 3-0 over the Yanks, just like that.
For some reason, I’m getting NESN in Denver.

Ah, I would have liked that. He'll be missed in the booth for sure.

Verdugo looking great in the OF today.

Congrats Yankees fans, you’ve reached your peak of Josh Donaldson. As this is a ski board it’ll be a bumpy exhilarating ride down

FYI for my friends in Boston, Mookie Betts got his first RBI.

    Dodgers undefeated
    Yankees too
    81 rematch is on track.

Wild ass Jays game last night. Berrios gave up four in the first and basically our pitchers shit the bed the first few innings and the Jays were down 7-0. Ended up coming back and winning 10-8.

    Not my pic

    OFFICIAL MLB 2022 THREAD

Re: the post about players mic’ed up. I was flipping through the channels a couple of weeks ago and caught a mariners white sox game maybe? They had Michael Chavis mic’d up. He was awesome. The announcers said they were going to stop because Chavis was coming to bat. But Chavis kept talking during his at bat. He was facing Dylan Bundy and he said Bundy’s slider was a little slower than you thought it should be, and he fouled one off. Then he hit a line drive that the centerfielder caught and as he was running to first he said, barrel, at this time of year that’s a win.

Super weird listening to the guy while he's on the field. I like Kike and Verdugo a lot, Mookie is a great player but I think that is about as well as a team can do on a trade like that. They're up in WAR, and spent a lot less.

Not seeing so many empty seats, I'm used to the sea of empty corporate ones behind the plate but it seems like those guys kind of showed up tonight. did they announce attendance?

Yeah. I almost would rather not watch this game then listen to either of the broadcasts. I’m a big baseball fan and even I am already tired of all the stats talk and spin rate bullshit they are doing.

Wide shots show half the upper deck empty and probably 1/3 of the lower bowl

Kike wasn’t included in the trade. He signed after the 2020 season as a free agent. But I was sad to see Verdugo go in that trade. I’d have made that trade 100 times out of a 100, but the Sox definitely didn’t get fleeced.
