If that's the case then the organization can count on losing what's left of its fan base in short order.

This place is funny, when I read the Jose Ramirez news this morning, the first thing I thought was "Bmills is gonna be happy with that news!"

    ESPN article states full no-trade.

    LOL.

Baseball has certain absolutes, and I'm afraid that's one of them.

    Happy crappy weather opening day.

Would love to see the Mariners end this Astros run, let's go M's.

    Happy Opening Day indeed.

I'm amazed that it isn't sold out in so many places. There is a palpable "meh" about the League today that is so different from year's past. Sad, really.

Oh, and MLB.TV can't seem to get my account fixed before first pitch either, so that's not helping too.

At least I don't have to see it snow at the Jake until they come home next week.

It’s weird they picked a Thursday without a full slate of games to open with. Then a few weather delays and it’s only like five games today

Ah well, let’s get em tomorrow boys.

So great to see Tito back on the bench. He was a riot in the post game conference.

Sitting in the back yard and it’s like we’re about to go to war or something. F-16s and some Blackhawks keep circling around waiting for the Braves flyover. Must be pulling out all the toys for the World Champs.

That’s Joey Votto, Ben. He’s been an all-star caliber player for the better part of a decade and one of the more engaging interviews in the sport, and one of the greatest Reds of all time outside the Big Red Machine members.

You’re really showing out this week man. Catch up.

Unless you’re a typical Yanks fan that only pays attention to them and the Sox, then this makes sense.

Votto will be on the Yankees in about six years for $100 mil/year while he hits .165 and strikes out 200 times.

Maybe try another team besides the Yanks?

    That would be a start.

As for the interview, they’ve been doing this for years, or haven’t you noticed?

Votto is very outspoken, and if he was ok with it then I’m guessing it’s not an issue. We even got some Ozzie Albies airtime in there too - another very engaging player.

Might be time for a nap Ben, this isn’t anything to get worked up over.

Yeah I thought they did everything right but win the game. Cool to see the players walk in among the fans.

Fine. I didn't ask for a weather report.

Is this someone you picked up in Topeka on the drive out?

    Bravos down in flames.
Alonso with a rough night for the Mets. Nationals hit 3 players, dinged Pete in the shoulder/mouth.
