    Ah, beat me to it.

But they'll both feast on the stinkbugs.

Why do all the weird murder bugs come from Asia?

    And what about silver carp?

Isn’t there some weird creature we can send them?

I like the idea of sealing off GA, hell let's just dome over everything south of I70 (east of Denver).

    Ahem?

They’re harmless, and we’ve had orb-weavers in the SE forever. These guys are basically the same as the ones already here you’ll see in big webs between trees in Lowcountry and pine forests.

I have an irrational fear of spiders but part of that is driven by where they could be hiding. At 3 inches yer gonna know.

Usually you find them when you're walking along/through some trees when its dark out. I went face-first into an orb-weaver web last year in HHI walking back from the beach at night and let me tell you, Olympians don't jump as high as I did when not one but two of those long legged bastards found themselves instantly on my face.

    Fear monger much?

    • They likely traveled across the globe on shipping containers, similar to the Bubonic plague.

Covid analogies are a little played out so they had to dig deep.

Good callout ice. Yeah, I guess if it was Family Feud and the question was "things that travel the globe on shipping containers," I'm not sure Bubonic plague is even in the top 100.

If they used illegal aliens as the analogy they'd probably get a ton of shit for it. I don't know anyone who is favor of Bubonic Plague.

Does that mean you all won't be able to move down here anymore? If so, I'm in favor.

I have vivid memories of the Orb Weavers that would setup shop around my cousins house in Atlanta. Really cool as long as they're not randomly falling from the sky.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

    Heh.

Old habit walking the paths as a child holding a stick in front of my face.

Spiders don’t freak me but I hate getting a face full of spider bukkake
