    Maui in March

Wife suprised me with tickets to Maui for my 60th b-day. Wil most likely have to surf the North or west shore Maybe the harbor by the airport.

Me- old , longboarder , solo

Best spot not to get in a hassle ?

Im thinking windmills ? Kahului , Honokohau , maybe Honolua

If it's not huge Ho'okipa was great when I was there in January. It can be huge in winter though.
When the swell was small, it was manageable in all respects. I had a ball.

Paia bay isn't nearly as interesting or nice, but I got a few waves there too.

Beautiful part of the globe. Honoloa is my dream wave but I don't think I'd be welcomed into the lineup there. There's a vibe just watching it when it's on.

Post pics. You're lucky dude. Hope you score a few.

Im back. had some fun. Got to surf Ho'okipa three days out of six.
Tuesday afternoon- March 15th. Pretty Big and really wind blown but I had to get wet. hould have surfed the point but I went for Middles. WAY bigger than it looked. Caught 4 waves, broke my rental board, almost came in on the dry reef due to trying to paddle/swim a 3 foot long piece of foam in 4-7 foot surf with a 25 knt wind blowning.
Thursday- Much Funner. 2-3 and out at the point. Caught a shit ton of waves.
Saturday -Really fun. At the point again. 3-5 maybe some bigger sets. Ended by paddeling back over to middles and catching some fun ones.

Bummer- Had to buy the rental longboard I broke. Plus Side- No Rescue from the Beach patrol

Had a great time over there.

The most fun was renting a Cessna 172 and making this touch and go over on Molokai

Did you get to surf Jaws (Pe'ahi) or Honolulu Bay?

Jaws ? On a 5-6 foot (Was it 6 foot hawaii, mainland, indo or Euro )day? And I don't think they rent out 10 foot guns and /or jet skis and tow boards to tourists.

I didn’t think they rent planes to random tourists.

And there he is. Pretty cool.

Jaws last broke about 3 weeks ago. It's not a common thing.

Wow. Even here you manage to bring you false equivalent mastery to the table. Brilliant!

Yeah. About that tps report cover sheet

So he can rent a plane in Maui.
But not rent a jet ski. And take it to peahi.

Yeah. I’m going to ask you to move your desk into the basement
