Question for Econ PHD's -both kinds amateur and pros

What does the impending European natural gas shortage mean to us ? Is my $200k Porsche on order gonna get delayed another 4 months and incur a 29% fuel surcharge ?

Will Bobby Stainless not have inventory to sell at his new Lambo store gig ?

How do I heat my villa in Italy during winter to 105 to get all the super models to disrobe ?

    1) Your Porsche is delayed because of chip shortages, but the 29% fuel surcharge is gonna happen. Thanks Obama, errr... Biden.

    2) Didn't realize Lambo's ran on natural gas.

Would I pay 29% less if Trump was on his second lap ?

I think lots of factories depend on NG in Euroland for manufacturing.

Bennie's sweet spot is all about pocket meat from third tier pensions not Carerra marble floored villas stocked with Gucci swag bags for exit gifts.

Do I need to pay the delta from original purchase price and current market price when it finally arrives in 3 years ?

You'd pay less, much less. In fact there would be so much winning, that you would actually get paid to buy fuel. Drumpf has such a good relationship with Putin, that we'd have a NG pipeline direct to the US (Nordstream 3). And we'd be making Lambos in Detroit as a result. And we'd all be rolling in dough with infinite nekkid supermodels in our well-heated faux-Italiante mansions in Grosse Pointe.

And there would be much rejoicing.

Ugh, all ^ of what has been said above. But at this point who the fuck knows? The world economy is so far away from its pre-pandemic rhythm, and it just seems to keep taking punches from a public landscape that seem increasingly erratic.

If there is a serious gas shortage in Europe from Russia kicking the shit outta Ukraine, then it would probably fuck that industry up for at least 8-18 months more. I could see some huge effort to ship gas to Europe, but that would take at least a year to really get a stable adjustment to the supply chains.

So I’d suggest you buy a couple cords of wood for the stove now.

Well it's gonna be mighty lean in Russia without that money too. I'd bet the Russians take over Donetsk and Luhansk and call it good and everybody gets used to it after a while.

They already control it, and it's an easy win. I see this. Then I see Ukraine being fast-tracked into NATO.

With a disputed border? Or they are going to give up those “republics” in order to get admitted?

They will let those fall off the eastern map and take whatever is left.

Take it with a grain of salt. There's probably more expertise here on inverted nipples than inverted yield curves.
