Amnesty international is a reputable organisation. I would believe them beforei believe Russian or Ukrainian propaganda.

Rod has an extensive history of believing and repeating Russian propaganda. Besides, what is there to believe? Ukraine either has the right to defend its cities or it doesn't. The report essentially says “why don’t you just set up your defenses in the woods instead?” giving Russia no choice but to do this:

Benny left because he wanted to. You’re too disingenuous to admit it.
But yeah he can come back and tell us about the false flag attacks Ukraine is using to get sympathy. And you can tell us more about the Nazis in Ukraine that justifies Russian invasion. We can even go to the tapes if you want.

Ukraine
No, I’m consistent. I take heat for what it took to get rid of the Soviet influence in Chile, I don’t go around critiquing people for taking their country back.
Then you guys come along, turning a blind eye to whatever it takes to do the same, but you’re all hypocrites.
I’m waiting for the reports of summary executions and torture, I’ve already heard it from vets who went over there.
Then we invite Benny back! Gold pass, Lap dances, and viagra!

Never forget that in every thread you are always and forever the one true victim. You can also click here for reports of summary executions and torture in this thread.

Let’s delete this thread before everyone has their libtard card revoked and TGR is labeled as a war crime sponsor.
I promise to take it off my server.

Oh no one said you weren’t consistent. The 60 pages of you claiming Trump ended the Korean War is a magnum opus of consistency.
But your hard-on for deleting this thread may be from you justifying how Putin just wants to help de-Nazify traditional Russian territory.
Maybe PM Benny for tips on deleting. He is still reachable because he was never banned.

An academic definition of "It is what it is" for WWII and Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is "Total War."
Total war is a type of warfare that includes any and all civilian-associated resources and infrastructure as legitimate military targets, mobilizes all of the resources of society to fight the war, and gives priority to warfare over non-combatant needs.
The term has been defined as "A war that is unrestricted in terms of the weapons used, the territory or combatants involved, or the objectives pursued, especially one in which the laws of war are disregarded."
The mistake Amnesty International and others keep making when they "both sides" the combatants is failing to recognize comparisons of this conflict with other conflicts is that Russia's unprovoked invasion is a Total War. It's an inversion Clausewitz's theory war is a mere continuation of policy “by” other means. Ukraine's only choice is victory or destruction.

If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for problems caused by the government I'd be a rich fat film maker in a baseball hat.

Ukraine
I won’t make excuses for the innocent that we’re wrongfully detained and sometimes killed by DINA, but like all things you have to put things into perspective. This is what they were up against. And I don’t give a shit how they made these fuckers talk and give up this weapons cache. Far more would have died had the communist aggressors got their way. I also don’t give a shit what what the Ukraines do to captured Russians in the field.
“Pinochet's case was strengthened by the discovery in August and September of huge stores of weapons in Chile's northern Atacama Desert region. According to the Chilean intelligence service, the arms cache included 3,383 used M-16 rifles, more than two million rounds of 5.56 millimeter ammunition, 117 Soviet-made rocket launchers, 179 American-made light antitank weapons, 2,000 rocket-propelled grenades, tons of explosives and other weapons and ammunition. Chilean intelligence officials said the weapons had been smuggled into the country by Cuba, with the collusion of the Soviet Union, and were destined for use by the FPMR. U.S. weapons experts identified the American-made M-16 rifles as weapons sent to Vietnam between 1967 and 1969 that fell into North Vietnamese hands.”
Make you wonder where all the weapons we’ve exported in the last 20 yrs will end up in 20 yrs.

Tell the Taliban what? And what did I walk into?
The mistake America made with the Taliban dates back to the time between 2002 and 2005 when the Afghan people welcomed the American presence and the Taliban numbered less than 8,000 militants. We did not properly support Afghan society because we believed we had already won. The error arose from a preoccupation with Iraq.
At the time, a stable Afghanistan was not America's goal.
That's why I wrote weapons sent to Ukraine "mainly becomes a problem if Ukraine loses the war." Russia's secondary goal if they can't destroy Ukraine outright, just as it is elsewhere in places like Africa, parts of Asia and the Middle East, is political instability. Why is it so hard for so many people to see this obvious truth?Last edited by MultiVerse; 08-05-2022 at 04:12 PM.

Probably a lot, or some, of the weapons sent to Ukraine have already been sold on the black market. After all, Ukraine was considered last year as one of the most corrupt countries in Europe, and i don't believe this had changed.
Ukraine still doesn't have a corruption czar, even though this was requested, i believe by EU.

Calling Ukraine corrupt is your oldest most shopworn talking point. Like a lot of countries Ukraine does have a corruption problem. It's a problem that stems from its proximity to Russia and pales in comparison with Russia's own endemic corruption.
An overwhelming majority of Ukrainians want to break free from Russia's corrupt shackles. One of the many myths of engaging, trading and negotiating with Russia is that closer contacts and having them be part of organizations like Amnesty International or Economic groups like the G8 would liberalize the country and spread the rule of law. Instead, the opposite happens. Russia weakens, weaponizes, and corrupts the system.
That's why one of the few positive byproducts of Russia's war against Ukraine is the majority of Ukrainians now have a chance to overhaul their system making it possible for them to join the European Union.

The Ukraine is imperfect, so refuse to aide it, and deliver Ukraine to an even more imperfect nation? It’s all so dumb.
