The level of rationalizing , entitlement, and lack of integrity in a substantial sector of our society just defies logic. An absolute inability to process their surroundings. Slaves to their own ignorance it'd seem

Lemme guess. Those are just "actors" so it's all ok. And Russians at all levels of society, media, and government support and encourage killing and atrocities. Nothing to see here.

It's a hell of thing arguing with someone's opinion with facts.

All these WagnerPMC orcs bunched up like a middle school fire drill had a right to their opinions too...
This is how Russia frees up prison space for the coming crackdowns. Russians think it's great because they respect authority.

Still, i see FACTS here without any critical thinking.
100,000 dead Russian soldiers, as claimed by Ukraine?
Or 5,000 as claimed by Russia?
I think it's propaganda on both sides.

Over 100,000 dead orcs in sovereign Ukraine, Rod. No comment at all?

"Propaganda on both sides" means Rod thinks there are only two sides and the facts cannot be verified through any other sources. To quote a Putin, "We dictators do not engage in propaganda to get you to believe something, we do it to get you to believe nothing." It's working on Rod.
The Russians understand what Goebbels meant about always choosing propaganda on usefulness with no thought at all for truth. They are not in a position to appreciably improve their credibility through honesty, and likely the opposite: if they start admitting to truths at this point people might start to expect it and eventually demand it. That's not how Pootin holds onto power.
On the other hand, Ukraine has several motivations to be accurate when opsec allows. And comparing their reports to independent observers who rely on photographic and video evidence it appears that Ukraine's numbers are higher by about what you'd expect if one source had first hand sources the other did not. 10% high is still 100k dead orcs.

Hey rod, ofcorse you can have your own opinion on this war.
But why do have to share them with a group who clearly sees the only way out by beating russia.
It is provocative of you posting alternative newspages.[#fakenews]
I was truly surprised by the outcome of the war so far. I thought russia gonna rush through Ukraine. And will deal with guerilla sabotage warfare after.
I thought it will be kalahnikov vs kalashnikov. And russia has 1million more.
How little did i know.
i was always afraid of nukes and nuclear power plants nothing happened so far.
Also chemical weapons and biological weapons were not used yet.
I am also suprised that russia cannot take a town of 70.000 people.
It is so strange.
Also that the first attack on kiev failed is a big suprise. Maybe the pentagon not only knew the date of the invasion.
People hope for an end of this bullshit.
But putin can only be overcome like the Romanian guy. Ceaucescu.
And this will take time. The outlook for years of war is crazy.
It looks like the energy crisis is over.
Same as the economy is dealing with the war better then expected.
So all your worries of the EU suffering are not so bad.
Snowguns are still firing. And the lifts are spinning. Ok some low resorts in bavaria have zero snow..... after the last rain.
I was very critical to reuters and cnn.
Typical stoner move. Big media blabla.
Since 2020 and all the alternative facts about COVID i assume big media cannot write fantasy stuff cause do many people are fact checking.
But some unknown newsoutlet can write what it wants. Cause only the followerd read that crap.
Stop being an idiot. Keep your opinion to you.
If i would say: putin released the C in 2020 to fuck the western economy and democratic systems. And prepare the gas crisis in europe etc.... people here would so i am batshit crazy.
So time to shut up and ski some cols.

No snow here, though.
But the gas is cheaper in Europe because so far the winter in Europe had been really warm.

Russia depleted eu gas storages by course manipulation.
eu gas companies only wanted to buy cheapest gas and maximise the profit.
Gazprom knew the pattern and nobody thought in europe, russia gonna screw us over.
Alot of eu politicians had high paid jobs in russian energy companies.
Yes the eu a bunch of sheep.
Peaceloving eu hippies.
#metoo
So russia slowly depleted the gas storages to a minimum and in autumn 2021 shortened the delivery.
The rest is in the book.
Yes we have gas now to a higher price.
And russias lever is gone.
Ofcorse a warm winter helps.
Gazprom and putin had a plan.
And the eu was unaware.
The US always knew. [#nsa]
Guess thats why northstream2 was sanctioned.

Ukraine
Great article about Ukraine’s International Legion in the latest New Yorker. It’s pretty grim.
This is our war. Anyone that enjoys the freedom of living in a democracy should be supporting this struggle. If Ukraine falls to Russia an emboldened China, Iran and North Korea will intensify their militarization and try and exert their influence through force.
We, free people, have everything to lose

This admin has held back from the beginning. But, as things have stabilized, and power shifted, they are sending more, and more advanced weapons.
I said early, I was glad Biden played it the way he did. No one called him a coward, but what do I expect around here?
They are going to ultimately send real armor and jets. I’m sure we’re training Ukrainians on them now.
What Russis response will be is anyones guess? I still think it’s a mistake to try and push them out of the Crimea, that won’t end well.
It’s far from over unless Putin gets whacked. The way it’s going I don’t see it going past 2023-24. Ukraine will be flying apaches and f-15’s the way we’re creeping into it. The it’s a game of chicken with even bigger weapons. Hopefully they just quit.

Ukraine
Who do you hope quits?
You’re really current on the state of things, we’ve already pledged Bradley FVs to Ukraine.
Are you distracted by the prospect of missing a father daughter tea?

Without getting worked up, and applying a little critical thinking, I'd say that the massive Russian pullback, after their initial attempt to take Kyiv, retreating their forces into the South Eastern provinces, the war continuing after almost a year's time, and the need for conscription (leading to the exodus of young Russian men), would suggest the higher estimate is more accurate.
If only five thousand Russians had died so far, Putin would have not needed to enact a draft. Further, I don't believe it's a stretch to suggest, that the fleeing of draft aged men en masse suggests that they know they would be replacing soldiers who were dying in large numbers (I expect word of mouth, about family and friends dying, is a strong antidote to propaganda within Russia).I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. -אלוהים אדירים
