Spine of the Rockies From North To South, A Quick TR

During this snow drought of early February 2022, I traversed the spine of the Rockies, starting from the Puget Sound, stopping for beer with conundrum in Boise, then landing at M^ in Jackson.

4 days at JH, basking in the abundance of the Seshaterium and the best of the Teton freaks. Muchos gracias to Djongo, Baby Bear, Sailcat and great skiing with others like JHyatt, Ski220, Baron.
Hardpack, bitter cold, inversions with bluebee clear horizons of the curved beyond. Beat my ankle and knee.

Rolled on down to Snowbird and got to meet and rail around with telefreewasatch, oftpiste and skifishbum, the creme de la creme of the bestest. Again, bitter cold, hardpack, the great blue beyond as well as a first sashay around Deer Valley and hot chocolate at Steins.

After DV, hopped in le Sled and blazed down to Silverton where there was 7-8" of fresh on old styrofoam in more bitter cold blue mornings, which skied sweet and soft until Sunday when Saturdays warm refreeze rattled my old bones and remnants.

Hooked up with some old Silverton pals and swooped down to Taos for a couple of days of mining for the bits leftover from the previous weeks 31" storm. Hit rocks, got to link up with Meadowskipper for a few laps, including kicking off a shoe up on Kachina. But so enjoyed the groimers and blue, hitting Walkyries Chutes, Longhorn and Al's to finish off my ankle and knee for the trip.

Nice to meet you Buster. Wish I had said something sooner since anyone sporting bamboo Lotus 120s is a friend of mine. Hope to see you back in the Juans again soon.

While in Jackson, The Toque elicited reactions from many people. From tourists on chairs to my buds at the hut, everyone wanted to know about it...
