Bad news: he has two dead cars in a million pieces that can't be sold cause one has a rebuilt title and the other is missing half the engine stuffed into coffee cans and a pissed off wife. The worst part is he can't even sleep in the garage cause it's overloaded with 2 disassembled motors so he has to sleep in one of the cars after wife throws him out of the house.
    Hahahaha. Nailed it, Nostradamus.

Seriously, good luck. I wish I had the nerve to start a head gasket job.

Thanks. Tools and parts have started arriving. Should be ready to start diving in this weekend. I'm kind of scared to be perfectly honest. Never done a job this major before. Excited to learn something new, though.

LMAO. My kids will probably be embarrassed enough having to drive an ancient wagon (or they might think it's the raddest thing ever), but a star destroyer Volvo miiiight just push them over the edge. That things hilarious.

Don't be - it ain't rocket surgery. I did all that shit in a previous life (even as far as honing cylinders on an old Triumph inline-6) - why do you think I don't do it any more?

Feel the force flow through you. The Kessel Run in under six parsecs will little Luke Fried and Leia Fried do.

I think ANY car with abs and an airbag is safer than a car from 84. This is coming from a guy that lives Swedish cars.

But when it blows a head gasket, he can hop it up with one of these - and he won't even need to overnight parts from Japan! Or add a second and convert it to AWD!

Maybe he can install 2 of those in line. Double the reliability.

Badass find!!! Can't believe you found one with such low miles! Congrats. Make sure he babies that thing because they're only getting harder to find. If you don't mind my asking, how much did you score it for?

And he'll get the hang of the stick just fine. The C30 is VERY forgiving. One of the easiest manuals I've driven. Great car to learn on actually.
