someone knocked over the box fan again

seriously why doesn't tgr just have a self-signed certification? or at the very least a fucking sticky note on the box fan telling them to renew their cert every year or whatever

Self-signed doesn't help, Chrome etc. will still complain when doing https to a site with a self-signed cert. (Also it makes you vulnerable to DNS spoofing attacks, but who would want to do an elaborate attack just to get TGR passwords?)

Sticky note is a good idea, maybe put it on the box fan. Or take GoDaddy off the spam list so they see the "your SSL cert is about to expire" emails.

Time to switch over to Let's Encrypt, Zerossl, Cloudfare, etc. and put a reminder on the calendar when it is to expire (or script the Let's Encrypt auto renewal since it is only for 90 days...)

I had to download the app to get here like some kind of 13 year old gamer, wtf?

On the first night of the Olympics, is this a coincidence or did the interns let the box fan fall over?

It's called an expired SSL certificate, brah.

Even large, for-profit companies, allow this to happen, amazingly.

I was thinking it was related to the hacked accounts and nefarious things done with said accounts. Glad they got the site removed from the no fly list quickly. I've seen good forums totally die when they take too long to bet back online with problems like that.
