    Get over yourself.

I really try to keep a positive outlook but sometimes I can be a miserable cunt (just ask half of the ECRC).

Every now and again I have to give myself some perspective. This is a thread for just that.

    For example:

-Humans share 60% of our DNA with a banana.

-We are closer in time to the ancient Rome than the Romans were to the ancient Egyptians.

-We are closer in time to Tyrannosaurus rex than T-Rex was to the Stegosaurus.

-astronomers have identified 3,200 stars with planets orbiting around them.

Give me some frame of reference.

    HOF potential.

    People also ask
How many potentially habitable planets are there?
    300 million
One 2020 study that analysed Kepler data calculated that the Milky Way could harbour as many as six billion Earth-like planets, while another estimated the number of potentially habitable planets in our galaxy at about 300 million.Oct 20, 2021

You are one of the 40% of humans that have access to a flushing toilet.

Oh that makes more sense now!

1/4 of the amount of people that have been to the moon have been to the Challenger deep

Everest is only the tallest mountain in the world when measured from sea level

There are more skiers and snowboarders in the US alone than the population of Austria (9.2 million/ 9.1 million)

Yeah, do you think the T Rex's parents were like, "you fucking kids have no idea how good you've got it, back in the Stegosaurus' day you'd have to go and wait for some poor sucker to wander into the tar pit before you could eat, now you've got everything you could ever want in the palm of your ridiculously tiny hands!"
