Some pretty spicy line’s. Glad he’s still out there making ski porn.
    Always been a fan

I had the opportunity to make some turns with him back in the day
But I was on the bottle for the day and passed

I have so many questions about line choice and sluff/dry loose mitigation.

With those spine/pillow lines does he just expect to have snow release, and he's constantly moving one direction through his line?

How much scoping do you think he does prior to hitting some of this stuff?

He probably knows the Esplanade terrain better than anybody on earth along with a couple of the long standing guides that drove the free ride vibe at GAH.

I've been there (Sentry, Vista) a handful of times on Free Ride Camps with EH and a spring trip.

His knowledge, line planning and precision is a work of art to watch and hear him talk about, humbly and modestly of course.

Seeing some of the stuff he skis live and on non filming days is pretty rad.

I must have watched this 30 times since it was posted yesterday.

Question on his line choice: When Hoji is setting off the slides shown in the video, is he anticipating that there were be a fracture, or does he have an alternative line choice, and adjusts as needed?

I'm guessing go one line/spine left or right, and hope you can out run the sluff/slide ?

the snow is also sliding on just the roll overs, so might be guessing/knowing that the steeper pitches are OK?

    no idea. I"m not a pro/guide

I'm pretty sure the snow just moves out of his way.

Dang, missed it. Maybe set to private because of some music violation BS?

^^ He’s a master at slough / pocket release management. As someone else said, he knows that terrain extremely well.

I agree been to few free ride camps at sentry and sunrise with him. He knows the terrain there better than anyone. He'll ski the same shot that the rest of us did but find a nook or cranny that no one saw and just kill it....really fun experience.

I'm a decent skier but far from anything special. The precision with how Hoji skis is so many orders of magnitude higher than me it's incredible. The ease with which I dodge trees on a 30 degree slope is how he appears to handle 50 footers and giant pillow lines.

Was officially released today, so is live - somehow, someone got the inside scoop before the public.

In watching the credits I noticed that this was another Atrain production. Not sure how often he is on the board still, but not surprised it was all top notch filming and production.
