Website says they’re only compatible with race plates. Can they be used on a ski without plates?

Thanks. They're just for puttering around in Spring Corn.

Do you have to source shorter screws to mount directly on skis ? Screaming deal that I possibly can't pass up.

Best of luck with mounting on flat skis, I've heard a fair few horror stories with the race plate version PX heels being ripped out of skis.

There have been several pairs of these floating around on ebay as well. Does anyone know if I can use only the toes without the connecting bar? I have a set of P18s heels that need a mate.

The connecting bar doesn't really do anything, you could trim it back to the AFD. As far as I can tell the only difference between this and a P18 toe is that the minimum DIN setting is 10 instead of 8. It's also possible to swap these toes directly on to an alpine pivot AFD.
