The real gem in this interview is where Katz says that stuff like Jerry of the day shouldn't exist because black kids will be intimidated and not show up. Honest to God. It's near the end somewhere. I doubt this man has zero concept of what trash talking is.
I really doubt he skis much.

That was the weirdest moment in the whole interview: He was asked about his initiatives to make Vail and skiing more diverse and inclusive and what progress, if any, he saw in his tenure. He admitted it was a long range goal, not easy, and then somehow threw Jerry of the Day under the bus. Felt like in a one minute span he segued from the impact of George Floyd's murder to the offenses of Jerry of the Day turning new skiers off. By his logic, it's amazing that the sport even survived all those Warren Miller rope tow segments.

Hey d-bag - here's something for you to think about: maybe (just maybe) not everybody here has their little panties in a wad 24/7 and flies into a rage whenever somebody disagrees with them. Maybe these same mags don't take this place uber-seriously. Maybe this even includes the vast majority of the people who post here as opposed to you and like 20 other thin-skinned douchebags. Stu is a good interviewer. He spends the first half on easy stuff and then asks the right questions in this gentle, non- confrontational way so that Katz just started thinking out loud and rambling. Katz hung himself with a combination of accidental truthfulness, self satisfaction and preening.
