In my beloved home state of Oregon they didn't salt the roads in winter. Maybe a little urea for black ice but salt was either banned or verboten somehow. I didn't realize how much I appreciated that until I moved to northern Minnesota.

Cars and trucks here look like they've been sprayed with acid and left to corrode. Fenders and bodywork are slowly returning to the earth from whence they came (coincidently only a few miles from here in one of the taconite mines probably) on so many 5-10 year old cars.

I have a beloved '02 Tundra in decent shape and we bought the wife a new Pilot this summer before moving out here. What can I do beyond frequent washing to keep the rust away? Got an undercarriage coating but it seems kinda weak sauce, I think they just sealed the seams in the pan. Replace every 5 years?

The shear volume of salt that I transport into the garage daily gives me major anxiety. You could roll up a $20 and snort it.

Oh man…we could do some mega stuntman’s in your garage. I’ll bring a case of limes and 5 gallons of tequila. We’ll be beer bonging the tequila of course.

    Dinitrol 965 or Metalic, https://www.dinitrol.com/produktkate...rosionsschutz/
    or FluidFilm. https://www.fluid-film.com/products/
and if you're a furious rust ablator, go old school like a Austrian tractor mechanic with seilfett {cable grease} https://products.liqui-moly.com/cable-grease-4.html
Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

    You're an ambidextrous abater?
