    South Kootenays pow trip

Started off with a cold day cruising Red with one of the mountain hosts. The next day we had 22 - 25cms new at Red Atmospheric river meets Arctic outflow with nice cold blower. Met old friend Dipper who showed us around

Can't believe the size of Red's terrain. 360 degree options off ridgelines with every aspects good skiing with this new snowName: FB_IMG_1641672904562.jpeg

Started our Big Red Cats day 1 well. Temps - 10 to - 15.

Another 10cms of low density snow fell during the day making for above average quality.

Red is one of our favorite zones. Although the base depth can be a bit low compared to whitewater. Glad you had good conditions.
Know of a pair of Fischer Ranger 107Ti 189s (new or used) for sale? PM me.

We lucked right out for sure.

Day 2 at BRC. 10cms more of low density and then skies broke for a light show partway through the day. Cold!

LeeLau, thanks for the stoke, hope the new ownership is running the show seamlessly. Damn shame about Kieran

Curious if you guys did a private cat or did you join existing groups?

If the later, which group level did you end up joining and were you happy with its pace and terrain selection?

Given this weeks snow conditions, I’m having real regrets moving my originally scheduled trip for this week to March 6-9 just so that I could join an Uber group vs spending three days with advanced/expert in Jan

Hey the new owners seem really keen on keeping the ops running efficiently and well. We put together 2 private cats. One Advanced and one intermediate. We were in advanced.

We worked together at making transitions fast so had all you can eat pow runs which we as a group and the guides appreciated.

Obviously snow was superb. Terrain ramped up as the guides got more confident in the groups judgment

When were you at ww? Was there Thurs and Friday. Kind of a shit show with power outages. Computer issues and then someone unfortunately got stuck in a tree well and they closed summit and glory. Great snow though love the "new" chair!

Nice Stoke Lee. Red is some of the sickest lift served terrain I've found. As an old Tod Mtn skier we used to joke that all the gnarliest terrain we could find there was just training for Red.

Looks amazing! I want to go back - haven't been there for 15 years. Last time up a group of us got a cat ride and then skied into the Yurtopia hut. Had to dig ourselves into the front door upon arrival. For 5 days it snowed consistently and the skiing was awesome, but we didn't get to ski off any of the peaks. Could hear WW bombing every day and that didn't inspire confidence. Thanks for the TR
