So what’s the business plan for the LIV tour? Underwear gnome model? Spend a lot of money on talent and have them play minorish golf courses (two Trump property’s, two pe golf firm ones)

I would have bet my entire retirement nest egg on Bmills being at minimum a casual golfer. FFS, man.

You have been known for making some wild assumptions about people here in the past, so I'm not surprised here but the courses and the company I keep thereon don't exactly condone that kind of behavior unless you envision me getting loaded at USKids Golf tournaments or the Member-Member.

Is this your way of flexing that you played at some sort of competitive level, to make inaccurate generalizations on a ski forum because someone dared to point out that Tiger was dealing with an image problem not that long ago?

If so, really weird flex bro.

I mean, doesn’t BMills listen to American Pie or some similar song at some local dive bar involuntarily? Seems like a not fake golf guy for that alone. Plus, isn’t he a wagon guy? Has room for clubs. Come on Mang!

Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson are welcome to play the U.S. Open next week under a USGA decision announced Tuesday that puts the open nature of the championship over a player’s decision to play in a Saudi-funded rival league.

Mickelson and Johnson are among a dozen players in the LIV Golf Invitational this week who are exempt for the U.S. Open on June 16-19 at The Country Club outside Boston. Both have said they plan to play the third major of the year.

Among other U.S. Open players who signed up for the new league are Sergio Garcia, Louis Oosthuizen and Kevin Na.

And I golf poorly as I only picked it up after leaving the mountains since that seems to matter

I did take bong hits at a now demolished house on Owl Creek Road in Pitkin County watching Tiger play the open as an amateur when my only experience was on the range while crushing beers, if that matters

I also escorted that gentlemen up to his room after a high number of Vodkas at an event at my hotel

Also helped Greg Norman and his caddy check in when they were hammered after flying in after an event in the late 90s when he became the tours leading money winner at the time.

Davis Love the 3rd is nice

I helped Serio Garcia find a golf ball at a tourney at Liberty in NJ.

Do any of those things impact your opinion of my opinion of golf? Because in my opinion your opinion of my opinion is really just an opinion and worth what I paid for it

Thank you boys; I’d play a round with any of ya for sure.

I didn’t know that Tiger’s reputation would be a hill to die on today, but here we are. Eh, bygones be bygones.

Now, let’s see this goat-rodeo youtube gagillion-dollar clown tour.

Well this isn't at all surprising. The PGA and USGA are in a long-standing feud and far from cooperative. Basically the big time courses (except Pebble Beach) have to choose an allegiance to one or the other.

I was but a rookie ski bum working room service when Tiger's escapades went public. He packed up the swampiest of his donkeys and shipped them to the Wyoming hotel I was working at, put down his credit card on the tab, and told them to keep quiet. This was back in simpler times as I don't think Jackson Hole is quite the place the dissappear it used to be, but I digress.

Being the lowly room service guy, I ended up being the one who interacted with these ladies the entire time. I will never forget being so let down in terms of what he decided was worth stepping out on Elin for. Like even a lowly skid who hasn't been laid in a year would struggle to deem them worth it.

So that story told, I can concur that this non-serious golf player's mind will inevitably think of the low grade ski town 7's Tiger fucked up his life for, before I struggle to come up with the number of majors he's won.

I head a funny stand up routine about Tiger's infidelity....

Something along the lines of Tiger actually being one of the most faithful guys out there because you figure he was "the man" for at least a dozen or more years and likely had hundred of moist panties waved in his face daily from all sorts of ladies who wanted a piece of him,
so if you compare his possibility/turndown rate, he is like 99.99999999999% faithful which is way higher than most men.

To be fair, it doesn't matter how hot your wife is if she won't fuck you. It's actually even worse as a monumental cock tease.

DeChambeau and Reed move to LIV.

The migration begins. PGA better change their stance and tone. They’re losing their leverage.

This is kind of a big deal now... Phil is washed, DJ is on the backside of his career... these guys are not. And Bryson, despite some of his antics, has a pretty big following. I would love to see some of the group texts going around between players right now.

Funny to see the PGA brought low by a degenerate on the downside of his career who just needed a quick score.

and pga tour shows it is is not all that and a bag of chips by suspending as the pga tour suspends those from playing at pga tournaments that play on liv tour. way to look like an ungrateful, threatened and emotional child. youre the pga tour and this is a start up tour, you should care less. does the pga care that golfers play on the euro tour and come back to the pga when they feel like it ? no, this is no different. the liv isnt replacing the pga and will likely not make it 5 years but the pga just threw DJ and bryson, two of golf's biggest draws out the window because its butthurt. how pathetic.

The difference is the PGA is a private entity whereas LIV is literally a government-backed Royal Saudi entity. It's not just doing business with the Saudis it's getting into bed with the Saudi government. It's gross.

People who make NBA comparisons with China don't seem to grasp this difference.

Anyone else noticing a high correlation between having a douchey reputation and joining LIV?

Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, Bryson, DJ, Patrick Reed, Ian Poulter... not exactly the guys on Tour you'd want to share a beer with (well, Phil would be fun I suppose). Lee Westwood is an exception but he's 49 years old so I get it.

Rory and Justin Thomas are coming out of this looking great and can probably pickup some of those extra sponsorship dollars now.
