Been drawing and perfecting what's become the 113s the past eight years, with the goal of having them made by Igneous/Prior/Prog (Hals) or a similar manufacturer, but started talking to Marshal this winter, figured we had aligning interests re:chargers, and a history of liking the same or similar skis. Then, we started tweaking the design of the 113s until we had a concept drawing both were happy with, about 70 e-mails later.

To put any scepticism to rest, Marshal is chief on the 113 design, I just happened to draw it. It's an honor being a small part of this idea revolution.

    I don’t think there’s a ski I want more than a 187 FL113 from these cats.

    Depends on the generation.

I would say the older ones that are stiffer are a 4ish. They are definitely a bit softer than a Monster. The newer stainless steel topsheet ones are softer than the older ones.

I believe the 2018 SR95 with the blue plaid topsheet is the stiffer one.

Ahoy! The straight-tape measurement on the 185 is 184.0cm. The material length is 185.5cm. I look forward to adding molds on the Raceroom stuff, but would probably start with 190 and 185 108mm skis...

So I don't know when, exactly, the stormriders generations changed, but the old green Stormrider 95 would very similar or maybe a touch softer than the comp skis, ( with my skis having less camber) and the newer gen ones are similar to maybe just a touch softer than the am50/50 layup.

Marshal, did I miss the 194 R99 option? Can't find it on the website. Not that I have any money for it, but a girl can dream.

I really want to try a pair to. But I’ve never spent over $500 on a pair of skis. And my current quiver is like 20+ skis with bindings. 🫣

    Howdy friends of Heritage Labs!

This email has been a long time coming, but I am very excited to share some great news fresh off the presses... and a lot of it at that!

1.Carbon and Freeride 132 and 113 shapes are ready to order
0.I currently expect a Jan 1st-ish shipping date for orders.
1.I was able to only secure the limited production capacity, and about 1/2 of these skis are pre-reserved from January, so I expect the shapes to sell out quickly. Get yours in now!
2.The 132 is my ultimate expression of a deep untracked powder ski. 190 and 200cm in length are both offered in Carbon and Freeride constructions
3.The 113 is a collab with Arlid. The Falline fiberglass ski is our modern take on big mountain freeride skis of yore. The Carbon version deploys the same shape but in a bit more soft snow-biased flex pattern.

2.The Raceroom skis are on track and add an "All Mountain 50/50" layup!
0.I currently expect to ship Raceroom skis in December.
1.After testing the Raceroom skis, I am super excited. The rocker and camber turned out amazing, fit and finish is beautiful, and the skis rip.
2.I am also excited to announce that I have added an "All Mountain 50/50" version to the Comp build.
3.If the Comp skis are a 4.5 stiffness, the AM 50/50 builds are a 3.5 stiffness and about 350g lighter than the comp skis (details on each model's product page)
4.I am planning a full run of the AM 50/50 skis and am able to slide a few pairs of comp skis into the production, now is the time to pull the trigger if you want a pair!
5.If you have a Comp ski on order and would like to sub it out to the AM 50/50 build, just reply to this email and let me know....super easy!

3.The return of ginormous 120mm pintails
0.I will open up a very special and limited run of long dong big wide directional pow skis this fall. Stay tuned!

Those R99 skis sure remind me of the last year Nordica Enforcers in a 98 width I beat to death. Been on a bit of a buying spree after having thinned the quiver and up to six pairs so likely holding off for a while. Really impressive work and good prices for the apparent quality. Sure hope the collection grows

I'll have a pair of the 187s with pivots at a 306bsl (or whatever a 26.5 dobermann shell is) at alta for at least a few days next season, you're welcome to take them for a spin.

Yeah, I agree. That has removed the Hoji from my wish-list as a touring ski.

Next on my list is the FL113. But it would be really easy to justify rebuilding most of my quiver with most of the heritage line. Assuming I didn’t need money.

Any ballpark weights on the R87 in 175, in both Comp and AM50/50 build ?

    You posted:
    R87 AM50/50 is down 450g in 182 weighing in at 1750g ( Comp 2200g )
    R99 AM50/50 is down 400g in 188 weighing in at 1950g ( Comp 2350g )
    R120 AM50/50 is down 250g in 185 weighing in at 2250g ( Comp 2500g )

Just looking at various Blister reviews for 80-something wide skis, the R87 AM50/50 182 at 1750g puts it in the lightweight camp. I'm still going to stick with my order for a Comp build as such a heavier ski will be unique, and certainly a different experience than most all the other 80'ish skis that are much lighter.
I'm a bit torn here as well, it almost seems like the 50/50 would be too light, and something in the middle of the Blister weight list is what we are looking for? But I'm not sure I know enough to know what I am looking for.

I would be changing an order from the heaviest to the lightest on the list. Or maybe that's exactly the idea, offer either end of the spectrum that doesn't currently exist...

Looking for a good carver for varying conditions on a non powder day so I thought the R87 Race would fit the bill. But I am not on the autobahn (no limit) so maybe the 50/50 would be better. Seems light for the width?

^^^ keep in mind that Marshal's Raceroom skis are based on Blossom's Formula series molds, which are their lightweight touring skis, but with Marshal's much heavier build spec. They also don't have much side-cut, so are a long way from an SL ski shape, certainly more GS in radius for the R87 and the rest. Blossom does not list weights for their Formula series, however the blurb on the Blossom Xplore 85 ski says it is 1200g per ski. So guessing that the Xplore 87 is a bit heavier, both Marshal's AM50/50 spec and the Comp spec are much much heavier than what Blossom is offering. Either way, both of Marshal's build offerings are super interesting, and with the AM50/50 still having 1 sheet of Titanal. If I was honest with myself, I am more a candidate for the AM50/50 for my realistic needs, but what fun is that -> so Comp for me. If I didn't binge-buy a few skis at end of season deals, I'd probably grab both R87 builds.

This AM 50/50 release is not what my wallet needs right now. Mmmmmmm

Anyone have any guesses or knowledge on the AM 50/50 99s vs ON3P Wrenegade 102Ti? The other ski I don’t “need” but secretly lusting for.

Yes, exactly. There shape is quite similar across the molds. There is ~2mm camber on the R120, 2.5mm camber on the R99, and 3mm camber on the R87 - which when combined with the hand tune I will be putting on every pair will be radnasty. Super clean drift, very engaged on edge.
