They should be right around 1750g.

I certainly could make em a little lighter, but I'd take the 100g for much better performance effortlessly slicing through zipper crust and breakable like it isn't even there.

It would be helpful to get occasional updates on which ski shapes/sizes are close to hitting the magic # to trigger a production run - no one wants to wait years for a ski that might or might not be made but might jump quickly if there is an expectation that they would have something in time for the next season

2Funky, did you ski the FR110 last year? If so, comparison to the R110 outside of the “what you’d expect reading specs” differences?

All good! It’s less a “which ski” question (I have the FR), and more of a “I wonder if there’s way to explain to my wife why I need both” question.

Thanks [emoji106] Just easier to guesstimate how other lay-ups will feel, now that I have two points of reference

Three new additions: R120 ST and RC85 for me; R110 for my better half. All in miniature version.

I already have an FL105 in the quiver, and briefly had possession of an FR110, so the build quality, finish, and tune are not surprising: they are absolutely top shelf.

I am, however, fascinated with the profile of the R120. Can't wait to try it out. And the RC85 just feels like a missile. Oh, and my goodness are the topsheets gorgeous.

Thanks, Marshal, for making these skis available for those of us on the shorter side!

Bringing Back The Best: Lotii And Other Assorted Love Songs

    First ski day tomorrow….FR110, HB122 or R120?

May ski Blackcomb as it cracked today cause the parking/lineups on Whistler opening day tomorrow may be dumb.

Thinking HB122 or FR110 for a packed pow day?

PS I love when your conservative spouse/buddies are talking about bringing out their rock ski as it’s opening week and you’re like WTF I want to ski my brand new Heritage Labs.

Hope ive come to the right place for this. First day on the ZF 116s. Holleeee fuck, call me a fan boi.

I bought these cuz 2funky promised they would address my problems with the Billy Goat. I love the BG, many miles in all kinds of soft snow on that ski, but:

    1) terrible on edge on firm
    2) at high speeds in open terrain and bigger turns, i felt like the BG was easy to over-drive. I wanted more cushion for the pushin

Today was a great test day, 8-10 laps, first (well, 2nd) chair. Dumped multiple feet all week while lifts were closed. Slight warmup overnight to 32 deg. medium density settled pow. Avy debris from control work.

A day i’d typically pull out the goats. Not anymore! ZFs are goat killaz.

Hold a great edge on firm too! Don’t feel like 116 underfoot, they carve way better than my mfree 108s.

You gotta stay with them, they aren’t a lazy ski, but also not demanding. They tell you when you’re in bad form and give you a chance to get it back. I told 2funky they are “intuitive but need input”.

    Well done gents!

What HL skis do I buy next?!?

What’s the difference between the FL113 and the ZF116?

I *was* just gonna rip my 10+ year old Mantras around the local hill for opening day tomorrow… but I did just get the Whitehorses mounted.

Fo sho’ I’ll be on a HL ski tomorrow! Got the FR110 and HB122 in the truck. Will see how I feel tomorrow morning in Lot 7 at Bcomb and grab one or the other.

Funny how I haven’t even got my beautiful 4FRNT Hoji Trinity out of storage yet.

PS I’m bringing a nice hazy IPA to put in the snow under the truck for a frosty toast to Marshal at the end the day.

I’m hip to most of the HL acronyms, but what does ZF stand for?

    Zippin Fast!
    Zoink Flash!
    Zappa Fucks!
    Zero Fucks (given)?

Reviews have me all kinds of Zappa Fucks aroused.
