Three fundamentals of every extreme skier, total disregard for personal saftey, amphetamines, and lots and lots of malt liquor......-jack handy
Almost every single ski I've owned has been set to 1deg/2deg by my old local shop and I got so used to it that when I finally got on a "stock" ski with 1/1 bevels I found it almost unskiable. When I first skied 1.5/2 on my FL105s it was immediately noticeable, but I kinda liked it. More DHF than Assegai with that sense of float before a hard bite in a turn. Really nice in moguls and encourages a very dynamic skiing style, but I found I was looking for slightly quicker edge engagement in tight trees. I have no doubt that with more time I'll get used to the setup.
Curious to hear how other people are liking the 1.5deg base and 2deg side angles?
Heads up ya’ll on the Lab Austere glasses deal going on, I have been rocking them quite happily on sunny corn lately and highly recommend. Excellent Christmas present too..

Gravity always wins...
I'd love to hear feedback on this.
Considering it is not sustainable for me to prep every single ski long term (today is the 32nd consecutive day i've worked pushing skis out the door), I have been working the past year and a half with the factory to deliver the tune I'd feel comfortable with delivering out of the wrapper w/ future HL production skis coming at 1* base, 2* side.
There are fine details in this planned wrapper tune that the vast majority of skis won't have. Future runs of skis would benefit from detuning like any ski, but would be comparable in finish quality to the best wrapper tunes available today.
Since I am just too big of a nerd to not ALWAYS have one layer deeper to hop up performance for those that really care, I am considering to supplement that with the option of a hand-shape + base prep upgrade (depending on interest, I'm looking to get a hotbox or IR setup) for those that wanted it, at a nominal rate (like $50ish). Again, more than happy for feedback!

Paying a bit extra for a hand prep makes a ton of sense to me Marshal - I suspect you'll get a solid # of people who will pay for that
I'd pay a premium for that as well.
I'd absolutely pay a bit more for some tender love and attention.
I’d pay a premium for that.

Aggressive in my own mind
Agreed. I would pay.

I'd be in for the premium treatment as well.
Received a couple shipping notices the other day, can't wait. RC95s and FR110's coming my way.
I'd rather die while I'm living then live while I'm dead
Marshal's tunes have been sublime.
I'd pay premium for the MO touch... and it's not because I can't tune my own skis, it's because I trust the designer with his/her idea of what the tune should be. Also, never been offered that before from any other ski manufacturer.
Speaking of not having enough time to get skis out the door, now everyone wants theirs hand tuned by the man himself. Lol.
I'm tempted to bust out my BC110s tomorrow. I'm mostly a "all skis are rock skis" guy, but even I may have my limits
Yeah could easily justify an extra 100+ even for the MO touch out the door and that would give shop rats and DIYers a bit of savings upfront.
I'm digging the current process tho - perfectly prepped skis show up at your door and all you have to do is spend a few weeks fussing around if you're going -11.420 or -11.69 and with what color pivots and once you have that figured out it's just a matter of mount your own fucking bindings and then skis on wall stoke pics then go shred.
Sig worthy for sure!
Does anyone have a pr. of BC 105 or 110 185 they want to sell?
Sawatch is French for scratchy.
One other thing I'll mention here that I have been thinking about...
I am looking at direct shipping skis that are destined for Canada direct to canada, for europe to europe, oceania to oceania, etc. This would ensure we aren't paying double import duty on the skis, and probably reduce shipping rates $50-100 on orders too.
This isn't an enormous amount of skis (10% of skis to CAD, 5% to europe, 5% to pacific rim), so its hard to line up logistics companies that offer this type of serivce, but thought there could be a real advantage to folks living outside of the US.
If anyone has any experience with this or interest in helping, please feel free to email me!

Finally had time to have a look at the new boards. Pics and camber comments might be somewhat misleading as I didn't take the time to strap them at the recommended mount point. Marshall should step in if anything is plain wrong.
L--> R R105, R110, FL116
All look really good, will mount with Pivots. Plan was CAST on the 110s, but we'll see.
FL116 is a medium+ flex, feels very responsive. R110 is maybe a smidge stiffer? R105 is pretty stiff, but not unbendable. A fair bit stiffer than a Mantra 102 184, not quite as stiff as a SuperBro. A bit of room between those two, but might make sense for some.
Marshall; your site says 8/10 for the 116s and 110s, how would you rate the 105s?
Camber profile for the 116 is as expected for a directional pow ski, a bit more reverse than expected for the 110 (which is fine), and thankfully the rocker lines goes deeper on the 105 than expected . Especially the tail seems a bit looser than feared.
I need to up my squat game for the 105s, but they seem like a great ski for open terrain on chalk or corn. If I were to go back to Las Lenas I'd bring them with CAST and be good.
R110 vs BMT109. More splay in every way on the R110s. Didn't take a photo of 105 vs BMT, but I'd say the 105 has a bit more tip splay/height and less tail splay/height.
Bodaciouses are not here currently but will be interesting to compare. Tail might be pretty similar to R105, but less tip rocker?
