Forgive me father for I have sinned. I checked the regs for that water and you are right. FUK I had the first of the month in my head Welp now I can't say I'm an ethical fisherman any longer.

FWIW these boys and girls were spawned out and not on redds. That doesn't justify not knowing the regs and they probably could have used another week to rest before barbless hoppers and ants started floating over their heads.

Out on the Kayak this morning. Boated an absolute hog, probably 12+ lbs. Unfortunately it was a wild king which is way verboten to keep around these parts (gotta make sure the orcas get fed) so had to let it go. Still cool to land my first large salmon on the kayak. At one point the thing jumped clear out of the water with enough force to get the shiner and deep six troll weight both airborne!

Asked my fishing partner for help landing this one he is holding below because a few minutes earlier I had managed to have a fish kick my rod off the jetty and into the water. Thankfully I was able to retrieve the setup.

Lost count. Fished from 630-4 with a hour and a half lunch/hammock snooze. Fish size was way up from two years ago. Love this creek and drainage.

^^Noice lefty. Lots of great pics in here.

A few family pics from our trip to the Land of 10,000 Lakes. No whoppers this year but steady action.

Much respect for landing fish on a jetty. A little more precarious than netting them over the side of a boat.

The rocks around the lighthouse are off limits due to the construction, but there’s typically anglers fishing off of them. I’ve been on those rocks and could not imagine trying to fish there with the crushing waves.

Fast water has resulted in several broken lines, burned hands, sore fingers, and going to my backing more than I would like. But it's still a ton of fun and I like eating salmon.
