satellite phone rental
Has anyone rented a satellite phone? I could use some details of your experience.
I understand there are two networks, and I think I want Iridium.
Just googling for "satphone rental" turns up nothing but kinda sketchy- and same-looking websites. I'm sure they are legit but I could use some guidance. I don't see any local options.that's all i can think of, but i'm sure there's something else...

Have any rafting gear outfitters nearby? They usually rent sat phones. Here's who I've used in the past before buying an inreach. They're local to me so pretty easy but looks like they'd ship...?

If you need it often, worth to consider buying Thuraya. Here in Finland, it's about 1000€ for phone and it works on normal cheap(7€ per month) sim card(uses roaming).
Thuraya has it's problems, but so far I haven't found places without reception and I live 450km above arctic circle.
