Trevor Jacob’s “Plane Crash”
https://youtu.be/vbYszLNZxhM
Another hot case for the TGR detectives!
Trevor Jacob, Pro snowboarder, jumps from his plane with a parachute, following an engine failure, somewhere in the Eastern Sierra.
Does he do it for the clicks? Or is this real?
Dude has 4 GoPros running and a parachute, but no PLB?

The editing is interesting someone should supena the raw in cockpit GoPro footage. When the engine stalls lots of shit happens before opening the door to bail out

Trevor Jacob’s “Plane Crash”
FAA is investigating. But I prefer the TGR armchair opinion…

Yeah, more than a little sus.
Also, while supposedly en route to Mammoth, the exit and crash occurred in SoCal mountains, not the Sierra.

The above vid throws a lot of stuff at the wall, a lot of which doesn't stick. Still, setting aside how awfully convenient it seems that he was pre-prepared to jump out of a plane and shoot his "emergency" exit from multiple angles:
It seems strange that he jumped (terminal velocity in a mostly downward direction, and he waited a while to pull the chute) from a plane (cruising speed in a mostly horizontal direction, initially anyway), and yet the plane somehow managed to get directly beneath him, before crashing very close to where he touched down in the parachute. Hmmmm.

Don’t know if fake or not but I’ll tell ya, thinking of getting a new wallet.

hahaha who is this guy? this can't be real.
first thing I thought of watching this man child walking through the brush was a real life Ralph Wiggum
who in their right mind gets into a situation like this (assuming it's not staged to begin with) and commences to make inconceivable decision after inconceivable decision, and furthermore, films the entire thing?! I think the final straw for me was when he's on some form of double track road and drinks the sketchy water even though he's clearly near some form of civilization.
if one has any doubts about this being faked, look no further than the youtube comments on the video posted above from people who claim to have real world experience with the exact type of aircraft that estimate our man could have glided ~15 miles based on his approximate attitude... what a chode

I'm going with staged. Poorly staged at that. Which then would rise to douche-y.
Appears to be absent of any and all crash/mitigation protocols in that scenario - radio? Many convenient happenchance things aligned that suited youtube story telling. .

The tiny baggie of remains is a little perplexing. Did the ashes get divvied up among friends and family? Google says the remains of an average size male will be 6-8 lbs. Looks like this guy only got two scoops
And why didn't he leave the baggie of remains in the plane? Surely that would be a rad send off.

Assuming he has a pilot license, if it's proven this was staged will he lose it? Permenantly?
Hope so..
Also I have one of those wallets and actually love it, but now it's kinda tainted.
