    ISO short pontoons

So was talking to my 72 year old mom and she says she doesn’t think she can ski powder anymore. Hurts her knees behind the knee cap trying to keep her tips up. My solution is to find her some pontoons, as they have unsinkable tips. I believe her current ski is a 163 soul 7 hd. So looking for a set of pontoons in a mid 160 length.

    ISO short pontoons

I definitely have a pair of 169 pontoons for sale.

It’s 169 or 159 for pontoons. They came in 10cm incriminates I believe.

In the Bay Area, can’t deliver or bring to Tahoe once New Years, or ship.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

I’m in SLC but mom thinks those are too long. Trying to convince her otherwise. OG s7 might also work for her I’m thinking

With the amount of tip and tail rocker and the taper I bet the 169s are not too long.

That’s what I’m trying to convince her of. She’s worried they’re too fat for her style which is ankles locked together like Stein in the 50s

I remember pontoons being super heavy even in the shorter lengths. They float but suck at a lot of conditions. I’d recommend wailer 112s or similar for super unsinkable skis that are really easy all around. Also, make sure her binding has low delta. If the toe of the boot is a lot lower than the heel when clicked in, that can make staying centered to float a lot of work.

Big rocker but like 115. How about 178 old school S7. Maybe megawatts. With bad knees too wide under foot may be an issue. Light but fat tip rocker

a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Little protests i think would be a choice option too. 168? I think was the shortest. 119 under foot, light, not stiff, ez to handle, no chance of tip dive at -1.5

Thanks for all the offers and suggestions. Parents are driving to SLC tomorrow and I’ve convinced her to demo some fat skis. She’s still way too concerned that they won’t fit her ankles locked style. I do think full rocker would be too much of a change for her
