if the binding you are referring to is a demo, it means the demo tracks are not included.

Just as a future precaution. Bought skis from Bob’s last month and was charged a duty bill via FedEx for $36 on a $830 sales invoice. So perhaps factor that in.

I think it’s because some head/tyrolia bindings can come with power-rail bases or be sold without, so they just slapped the “w/o base” label on all the bindings, whether they even are compatible with the bases or not

Doesn’t seem like the charge tax? So a small duty fee isn’t too bad. But I think duty fees are only on items over $800 though

That must be it. Don’t see it on anything non tyro.

I’ve never been charged tax from them in the past.

I ordered a pair of boots from them on the 31st and they've been in fulfillment/processing for a week now. Not lightning fast.

Yep … 800 triggers that for those purchasing overseas. Customs even add in shipping costs so if for example say you are 730 plus 70 shipping after currency conversion it’s triggered.

Thank you, good to know. Got a tracking # via fedex this am.

    Coming from Germany, it appears.

I got tracking already 7 hours later!

Edit: bindings arrive in California 36 hours after the order was placed. Can’t help but think these are coming out of the back door of the factory or something but I’m not complaining.

W/o base did indeed not mean anything for the Tyrolia attack bindings. My binding showed up with the heel track and all mounting hardware.

It’s only relevant for their attack bindings they sell that use the pro rail system (like the protector sl bindings)

    Nice.

Fucking quick once out the door, you got that right.

From Germany to JH in less than 48 hrs via fedex intl. priority.

My message from them re: delivery was found yesterday in my spam folder saying my boots were out the door.

The message came from one John Wick. I opted out of asking him what was the delay...

It's discussed elsewhere, but MAP isn't a thing in euroland. They can basically advertise at whatever price they want. feel like you have too many Pivots in stock? Mark them down to US dealer cost.
