Do you want to be seen, or do you want to blend in.

I have always wanted to blend in. Kind of a carry over from earlier, less lawful days, where my car, clothes, etc were all intentionally chosen to blend in and not draw attention to myself so i could be left unmolested by The Man and his enforcers. When my kid is old enough to be taught to ski, my priority is to stick out like crazy so he can see me from the goddamn moon and we can mitigate him losing me (though i realize that will happen when youre only 2.5' tall).

Planning to poach or tell yellow jackets to fuckrightoff? Go dark jacket/pants.
Planning to stay within the rules and ski with family/kids/newbies? Go with the brightest pants/jacket combo you can find.

I'll shoot you straight, and I know a LOT about fashion. The kit on the left.

The pants will show less dirt and are a more natural pant color, making you look like less of a turd at the corner market en route to the mountain. Nobody likes looking like a turd in the corner market.

    Black! For blending in.

Black! For not showing Bull Wheel Grease (Which I guess counts as... blending out?).

Yeah I definitely wasn't looking to win a popularity contest with this thread but I did get some others providing helpful input. This one here sounds like a Karen that goes out of her way to write a complaint about a radio show she doesn't listen to. Change the channel the channel my man.

Good points. Im generally of similar thought about blending in which is why some times I gotta think about impulse buys. Needed that voice of reason. I guess I could grab the more subtle combo for now and when my kid is old enough to ski add something brighter.

If. you are over 50 you have to wear a black jacket with a few flashes of red, and black pants. Otherwise I have no advise.

Mountain Hardware is making some nice stuff these days, I like the blue/red combo. If you decide to sell, send me a PM.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

black pants don't show dirt, other than fading they look the same 10 yrs later

You can pair them with whatever else you buy and of course black is a slimming color if yer " weight challenged "

You buy a jacket in the latest color/ pattern and next year it will be so last year, so buy a primary color which was never " in " to begin with

and of course red is always faster

Commando! Bummer that life jacket covers up so much of your suit. Not sure how people deal with the added heat that the life vest must generate. But I'm a clyde and run way to hot I suppose.

And not just ironically. One in probably ten skiers I see is rocking some manner of Tipsy Elves or Shinesty fartbags. Mind you, they look like total beaters, but hey... at least they can warm their core with flatulence. So they've got that going for them, which is nice.

You sure that's a he? Nice form to that turn though. Angulation, knees driving, shoulders and hands square to the hill. He (or she) getting it done!
