I wouldn’t say fighting per se. He was local so just made more sense but apparently we are both part whores??

Seth, my sworn bike part enemy! Haha

    Haha, hilarious.

Ok man, can’t figure out how to DM pictures so here’s what you get. Pretty sure the cranks have never seen dirt, they have a few minor scuffs from sitting in a box in the garage. I said this before but note that the cranks have a 24mm spindle, not the newer 30mm (or 29.8? DUB). Standard 68/73mm width. The end caps are some used raceface ones from my toolbox, they fit perfect. The ring has very low miles maybe just parking lot even, 3mm Boost offset. For comparison, the other ring in the pic has 150 miles on it, you can see it’s got a lot more wear.

Splitting hairs, but those cranks require a GXP bottom bracket (24mm stepped down to 22mm.) GXP is affordable and easy to find.

Straight 24mm would be Shimano and some Race Face.

Thanks One+, I knew it was GXP but didn't know about the stepped part. Sandbox says he has a threaded BB for them and didn't need the GXP pressfit that came with them. I'll confirm with him before I ship.

edit: Happy ending, I found a threaded GXP bottom bracket in my bin for Sandbox.

All is well! If the cranks don’t work I’ll throw them back up here for what I paid. I believe Seth is first in line? Haha

Sounds great! I have a build that I could use them for. I'll contact you offline.

2022 Supply chain: Parts needed thread.

I think this one is more likely to get me laughed out of the building….

Eagle X01 or GX cassette? X01 may be too pricey I’m thinking.

Seems like eagle cassettes aren’t too hard to find right now? Is the cassette for a full suspension? Xo1 only worth it if trying to reduce weight the rearshock is working with or a dream build with money to burn?

Its a fairly cost effective spot to reduce some weight when comparing parts really... sucks its a wear item though so depending on how much and where you ride maybe not much value.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

You mean the ones with wires between the derailleurs and battery, but “wireless” from the handheld bar?
I joke, I joke, but I’ll take Shimano wires over SRAM wireless any day.

I’ve had an X01 and a GX cassette in the past. Probably placebo effect but I felt the X01 was better. I will for sure say the X01 is a much better rear der then the GX and I’ve upgraded that on all my bikes.

It’s for a V4 Tallboy so wouldn’t mind the lower weight. I’ve never built as a weight weenie before but this frame is Uber lite so wouldn’t mind trying to keep it on the lower end of the scale.

I’ve seen the cassettes are available but mainly from US shops. Here in Canada I’ve been running into some walls with some items. I can for sure grab a GX and may just start the season with that.

No, something better…think Di3 or 4, no wires at all.
But hell, by then, maybe IGH will be drag free and as light as XT.

Anybody got a right hand XT BL-M8100 that isn't puking oil past the master cylinder seal? Because I don't.

Who has large steel hardtail frames in stock, ready to ship?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Nimble 9 frame because they're in stock and it checks most the boxes for a trail/AM frame.

There's too many small frame manufacturers to keep track of these days let alone ones with frame ready in stock.

George at Hitchhiker bikes in Stowe has a Large Rootdown built up. Great guy, great shop. He may have other frames, too.
