    Avalanche Course recommendations in CA

    Figure I'd ask the collective for a recommendation - I was offered an avalanche class as a holiday gift. I'm stoked about that, there seem to be a lot of good options - is there a guide / teacher that is worth seeking out in particular?

    Mammoth would be the most convenient for me, but Tahoe would be good too.
