How about $3.75M for a trailer home?

Because rich has nothing to do with money.

that house doesn’t have much privacy or protection now - ffs you have to have a post office box to get mail - and Carmel has never been “upper middle class” it’s always been rich. It does have gorgeous views, and in the past incredibly aging windows.

walker pere was the 10th richest man in the world at one point, and like most Midwest rich the kids gtfo (the hills developed pebble beach)

Sweet pad and 30 acres inside Black Canyon NP. Rental income out the wazoo I bet.

ETA- just stumbled across this one, too. I scrolled through the pics before reading description and was thinking to myself who the heck is this guy? Turns out it was Joe Cocker's 320 acre 'Mad Dog' English estate in Crawford. I had no idea. It's where he resided when he died and he's buried in the Crawford cemetery. If this were in Aspen it would have sold yesterday at a bargain 18M. Is that a Picasso?

What a dump, who builds a 15 bedroom house with a 2 car garage? Hard pass, I have standards.

Holy hell, I love that place. Anyway your windows comment made sense if you know indeed they leak. I’ve been in the Johnson Wax building a few times and a customer’s Wright house in Illinois. The wax building had those glass tubes that were glued together that leaked from the start. My customer’s house was a very typical Wright design and the windows were glued together at an acute point overhanging the pool. Those joints never sealed. A lot of his ideas just were ahead of there time, obviously, but I mean in terms of the materials. The glass tubes now were replaced or sealed with better epoxy/glue, etc.

It sold for $28 grand in 1991. Might even have been useable then. How much are house lots around there? That's all it is. "Septic: Abandoned" doesn't sound too good, I hope it perks.

Looks like it has asbestos siding for fire safety. Is this lot really worth 650k?

No. Banjos get real loud back there. Good place to hole up if you're an outlaw biker or cooking meth, though.

Landscaping and hardscaping are immaculate. A true sign of old money estate homes.

I see three fireplaces in the main house, and the guest cottage has garage parking and a deck facing the water.

For only $35.68 million you get this place in Bel Air, CA with pools at three levels. And there may be a 4th level pool hidden away in there.

Looks like a corporate office on the outside.

Master suite is bigger than your average single family home at 2700sqft…
