Time capsule. Hopefully it has infloor heating given the location.
I know that house. Anyone who has been to Duluth knows that place. It’s cool.

Do not use bathroom after a night out drinking, or else you'll your hangover will get confused with head-spinning caused by external stimuli:

Luckily there are eight other bathrooms you can stumble into, so odds are in your favor.

Note also the lifesize wax model with ample cleavage in pic 9.

This doesn't sound great: "The median income for a household in the city was $37,492, and the median income for a family was $45,269. "

This has been for sale for as long as I can remember, and pretty sure it's been posted somewhere on here before, but the asking has slid below $1MM (he paid $130k in 2003) and a bunch of newer pics have been added (like that will help...)

Looks inviting. If you're a serial killer.

Would actually make a killer garage with that freight elevator.

Yeah, in a way this has always been my dream. Garage/shop on the main floor (or two). 1 or 2 floors of living space, with a separate apartment for F&F. Band rehearsal space/studio on one floor. Full roof deck.

Unfortunately, this location is pretty bad unless you're a hermit, and it's in really rough shape.

I missed out on the Jamesburg earth station when that was for sale, maybe I'll jump on this.

that would be a super cool structure to make into something new, but i'm betting the shielding/reinforcing will make it a nightmare to add windows

that and maintaining, or replacing, a 1961 freight elevator sounds like a bit of a headache, despite it currently functioning...can't imagine its been on the inspection schedule lately

Me too. Set up the living space on the top floor or against those existing openings where you can more easily get some light. Use the rest for workshop, storing vehicles, indoor bike park/soccer field/etc. I've always wanted a warehouse space.

Did anyone else read Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels? The protagonist lives in an apartment built into an airplane hangar and has a bunch of cool old cars/airplanes stored there. It seemed like a good life plan to my middle school self and I think influenced subsequent real estate preferences.

Much like watching Fantasy Factory in college. Would love a warehouse with an apartment to make into a skate park/ gear storage/ photo studio space.

Yeah, this one's a winner if you had another million or so to spend on remodeling.

Reno, NV contender for tackiest, most mismatched, most WTF interior finishes possible.

People who do this, so many examples in this thread, know they're doing wrong because they leave the outside of their homes looking all normal and reasonably well maintained.

But the insides. It's as if the whole of the interior design profession uncontrollably barfed up, all at one time, in some slimy back-alley, their worst-ever ideas, this is what it would look like.

Maybe it was one of those showcase homes and that was the point? Genuinely don’t get all the mirrored rooms, just wtf

There’s a house nearby that we looked at, and everything in the interior is wood, (including some of the ceilings). I get that he knows how to work with wood but Jesus H Christ.

Oof, that house is a crying shame. Built in 1930, I'm sure it was a stately home before it got hit all over with the ugly stick.
