Looks like rural America. Wonder if the sea chickens fan gets in fights with the cowgirls fan over the little dog?

Not much to look at from the street, and it needs a bunch of updating, but I don't hate the general layout. Put it this way, if it was in Bellingham for under $600k, I'd probably be bidding on it. That layout would suck in B'ham's climate though.

Edited to add: sold for $2.3M, wtf: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1...zillowgonewild
Also, after seeing the rest of the photos, I can see that walking through every other room in the house every time you want to go from the kitchen to the bedroom would get old. Who wants to walk across that courtyard all the time when it's 110 for days on end?Last edited by dan_pdx; 03-23-2022 at 08:40 AM.

^^ All the stumps and slash piles really say "Northwest living" don't they. Must be built by a local.

Yeah, it's a bit strange. Did you notice the big concrete pad that (presumably) is where another house would go that was never built? I guess it's a work in progress.

I like the tower, but the rest is an affront to nature.

Hey, there are a few twigs in there, so obviously good Feng Shui.

The current state of housing in Mammoth. The $924.1m price cut makes this one almost a bargain!

My sister has been looking in Alameda/Oakland. They do pretty well but are not tech workers. They sent me this listing for a burned out wreck that is on a really tiny lot in a marginal neighborhood. It was listed at $250k. I said "well, you'd be buying a lot with $40k worth of debris on it.
After the auction concluded, this was the result.ride bikes, climb, ski, travel, cook, work to fund former, repeat.

That used to be a pretty typical listing for Vancouver, but the price would have been in the $1-2M range. These days they're tearing down modern homes and mansions to build even bigger homes and mansions.
